Honestly when Ben Johnson decided to go back to the Lions my hope pretty much faded. I mean he would rather take a chance the Lions don’t Lion next season then a chance at a head coaching gig.

Great confidence booster for our rookie QB. We should be able to pass all over them. Our offensive line should stop Wilks blitzing.

This is definitely an owner trying to over correct from a bad hire. But he is over correcting a bit too much. Whoever is hired I hope it works out. But I am expecting to go into the 2023 season same as I did the last 3 seasons. With low expectations.

Well if that is the case Reich is definitely the guy.

Gonna need to change the defensive entirely to make Wilks scheme work. He relies on blitzing and his DBs picking up the slack. We saw in 2017 the best and worst of the scheme. When it worked it really worked. When it didn’t you got the first Saints game, well pretty much every Saints game in 2017. Our passing defense was really bad. But we had a ton of sacks. Six of one, half dozen of the other I guess.

We could have gotten Harbaugh? Man Harbaugh with rookie Cam make me salivate.

So pretty much the same as with Wilks. Rivera wasn’t going forward it was going to the side. I don’t remember the offensive HC potentials in 2010 but that is an official “Thanks Hurney”.

I am fine with Wilks being here in another role but I don’t really like his defensive scheme.

For people who were here during the Rivera hiring. What was everyone’s opinion before Rivera got hired? I know Richardson wanted an offensive coordinator HC but he was letting Hurney lead the hiring and went along with the Rivera hiring. Was it excitement or disappointment?

Was excited for this coaching search but the fact it is now down to a guy who was just fired this year and a guy who probably won’t succeed because interim HC don’t really ever work out and he failed massively at his last full time HC gig is just so anti-climatic. I have said it once and I’ll say it again. Panthers love their retreads.

Uh no, no and no. He is a Rivera clone. Too conservative. His defenses suck. Holcomb sucks. He was a terrible coach when he was with Arizona. Interim HC failure rate is about as high college. The last two interim HC made full time HC were disasters. . Wilks will not be the exception. He will be the rule. So is anti-Wilk guys have PLENTY of arguments as to why Wilks will be a disaster if given the HC job. But you Wilks supporters are just blind and actually think Wilks is gonna actually make this team a perennial contender and that is just cute and a bit sad.

Nah, I plan to slander him and mock his supporters continuously during the season while I am drinking my “I Told You So” Tea.

If the shoe fits and if the team is really bad. We wouldn’t be the Texans since we would have only fired one coach after a season. I have no problem firing a coach after one season if it is obvious he isn’t the answer. I have no confidence either coach is the answer or can lead this team to the Super Bowl. But it looks like we will have to suffer through one of the coaches and hope he works out.

Easy to speculate but I wouldn’t be surprised if Wilks or Reich are on a short leash. Like if the Panthers are utterly dreadful next season the coach we hire may be one and done. Reich and Wilks hire does seem a too safe hire by an owner not wanting to be snake bit again if it doesn’t work out.

Still his fault. But keep making excuses. It is what you Wilks and Reich fans are only good at.

So if Reich or Wilks are hired guess will see everyone back here in 1 or 2 years. If it is either Reich or Wilks it needs to be on the low end contract. Like 3 year 5 mill per.

Like the anticipated end of a TV series it is gonna end on an anticlimactic note. Watch Steichen do really well when he is hired by another team next year and we are stuck with either Yesterday's Trash or Rivera Jr.

Was that on Tepper? Sounded like from Rhules interview he was the one that made the decision to not draft Fields. I mean Rhule straight up said there were no good QBs in the draft with Fields. He pretty much call Fields trash before back tracking of course.

After the Dallas game I don’t understand why he is still a contender? Also the Dallas fans begging us to take him isn’t usually a good sign.

Guess we’ll find out this year.
