  1. Sweet, it suits both parties then.
  2. The 49ers wouldn't have traded 3 first round picks for Lance if they had Carr.
  3. I think for me we went conservative with the Head Coach hire. I'm not sure why you'd start gambling now with a trade for Jackson (I doubt he becomes available) or a trade up when the safe bet it is to just sign Derek Carr - and keep him out of New Orleans in the process.
  4. I'm never willing to say 'never' when it comes to NFL teams, especially when they're hunting QBs. I'd be loathe to give up a haul though - just don't see the talent this year for that.
  5. Oooh, or Panthers sign four-time Pro Bowler Derek Carr and use the #9 pick to increase the talent on the roster. Yes please.
  6. As amazing as Frank Gore and Edgerrin James were (two Hall of Famers), Willis McGahee was the most freakish of the bunch. That knee injury was a literal career ender for someone less athletic - how he managed to have a successful NFL career after that I'll never know.
  7. If he's there at #9 you probably take him (assuming you don't sign Carr in FA), but you absolutely don't move up for him. If you put his brain / skillset in Stroud's body, Chicago would be pawning Fields off to whoever wanted to take him 'cos that #1 pick would be locked down.
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he's less highly thought of at Ohio St than Fields was, right? He was available at #9.
  9. You aren't signing Carr then drafting a first round QB in 2023. He's 32 in March - he gives you 4 years of high level play to find your franchise QB. It's a no brainer if he's interested.
  10. I hope people are taking into account that Herbert and Allen were both playing with serious injuries this season. Joe Burrow Josh Allen Justin Herbert Lamar Jackson Jalen Hurts Trevor Lawrence Tua Tagovaiola
  11. Richardson isn't in Newton's league.
  12. The best QB and offensive play caller in the NFL both came out after half time and put on a clinic. Nothing choking about that.
  13. Coulda had him too, but noooooo we picked a RB instead. It's painful watching great QB play - just absolutely changes the game for that team.
  14. So you're saying if we shoot up Darnold he'll play like this? Worth a try.
  15. Based on the two calls this drive - Eagles win.
  16. Good lord, Jourdan, stop focusing so much time on his bloody Goldendoodle and tell me why he's a relevant candidate for an OC job. What a poor piece of sports journalism that was.
  17. Why are some fans so keen to hand over play calling duties to a man who has never called plays before?
  18. I mean he didn't call plays in Miami, but it's a fair point. FYI (for non-Canes fans) he was the OC for Mark Richt - the man of the 'all verts'.
  19. Nice of them to announce it hours before the biggest game of his life...
  20. Well we can scratch the Falcons off as serious division contenders then.
  21. It's easy to say that on a YouTube video. A little different when there's millions (and millions) of dollars on the table, including your job.
  22. Everyone talking about bringing back the throwbacks like we've ever updated the uniforms in 25 years.
