I've never seen a qb read the defense so inaccurately so often and make the absolute wrong reads/check downs
-
He's scared to pass. He's checked in to a run play twice when he shouldnt have.

Bryce has made the wrong read and checked in to a run when he shouldnt have twice so far. He's scared of pass plays.
-
Who's ready to give Horn a big contract? He's getting toasted in coverage and has anyone noticed he's avoiding tackles like the plague so far this game? He's purposefully diving and missing tackles it looks like.
-
They've already done that, they've brought in dawgs remember.
-
He was sucking way before they had 40 points. Also the oline was average at worst and most of the wr had above average separation, sooo if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

Either one could have been a completion honestly but he definitely air mailed the throw. Almost all of his passes when he's on the move, improvising, or even moving in the pocket, seem to be overthrown. Just like his deep ball.

Jay Gruden on Bryce Young: He looks small and plays small
Tr3ach replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I understand what you're saying but I don't know that it works. If you sign a gap starter then you probably win a few games and your pick goes from #1 to #9 or something like it seemed like we used to always get. Then you don't have as many options on your qb for the future. -
Anyone going to the shitshow bowl in Germany?

There were several instances where there was a dump off route on the blitz and he didn't even look that way before he was sacked because he had no idea the blitz was coming.
-
I think the biggest problem is Bryce can't read a defense at all. He never sees where or when a blitz is coming to check in to anything else so we will never know if he's allowed to or not.
-
Nope, he's just who everyone wants to blame because it's the simplest and easiest boogie man to point at. His mistake was promoting Dan Morgan but I think that was an attempt at fan service "keep pounding" era.
-
They don't care. They were the worst team in the NFL last year. They know it can't get worse so they're fine with it. Thank goodness we've brought in all these dawgs.

Who are You Drafting with the #1 Pick of 2025???
Tr3ach replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
His numbers were good, his tape wasn't. It got watched a lot because of people watching the receivers tape last year. -
I was on the I don't think he's going to ever be good but let's give him a chance... before this game. He has regressed if anything. There were open receivers he didn't see or missed so that excuse is gone. He has now had another full off-season and 17 games so that excuse is gone. There has been 0 improvement. He has no trait at qb that is even average. Every trait he has is straight up bad. He can't read defenses, he can't see a blitz, he panics when he doesn't need to, he can't feel pressure, he holds on to the ball, he drops too far back, he has bad footwork, he's inaccurate, he can't see over the line, he has a terribly inaccurate deep ball, and he lacks the arm strength to put any zip on the ball. I'm sure I missed some things. As someone who was doubtful but hopeful, I now see no salvageable qualities. All that said I still don't want to reach for a qb at pick #1 just because we need one if none are worth the pick.

20% of the time isn't that much and are you referring to Burns because I feel like more than 20% of the time he had a tight end on him.

Ewers was awful last year and skewed by having elite talent to bail him out. He looked good this week but it's going to take more than that game for me to think he's worthy of #1 pick. -
That's the only positive I've seen so far. Offense is the least vanilla it's been in years and he's scheming people open. Bryce is just missing them.
-
Can we just entirely drop the idea that joint practices are the same as games.
-
Glad we've got these dawgs.
-
Same Bryce. He's small, slow, has a below average arm, he holds on to the ball too long, panics, seems to struggle reading defenses, and is inaccurate. Is there any trait he's not literally bad at?

We have a nobody at cb #2 and they are picking on Horn
