  1. I like him. He was my te #3. The size thing isnt height based its weight based. I believe he was 241lbs which puts him as one of if not the lightest te in the nfl if im not mistaken. I dont think its a deal breaker though.
  2. It felt to me like it was definitely need over bpa in day 1 and 2 besides Brooks.
  3. You dont have prospects you like or dislike going in to the draft? Some people prefer certain measurables or strengths on tape than others.
  4. I really wish we would take Troy Franklin with the first pick today even if just based on value. Analytics love him if you look in to the in depth statistics and measurable. Unfortunately I doubt we do though. I figure we take te or cb with this pick, which you could say are bigger needs now but you forget needs on day 3 as far as Im concerned and focus on who you think the have the best odds to be a solid player. Day 3 is for gambling.
  5. I definitely agree no one knows for sure for years down the road but it is pretty proven by now most of our drafts have been terrible the past few years. Some people love all these prospects some dont and it changes nothing about what they will actually end up being. I think its just as reasonable for the people who didnt like a prospect to explain their reasoning as it is for the people who do like said prospect.
  6. Were you also bothered by people bitching and moaning about the past few drafts? Because I've got news for you, they should have been.
  7. I was ok with the hire at the time. My main concerns were his time here before his promotion and if he was part of all the decisions and the fact we kept all the same scouting department. As far as my personal opinion and the draft so far I definitely dont feel good right now. This isnt a modern nfl draft.
  8. A big reach on LB in the 3rd. Like i said this is a draft from 20 years ago.
  9. I feel worse than before. This is a draft from the era that Morgan was a player on the team.
  10. Not a fan of any other team. Just dont like drafting big possession wrs and trading up in the 2nd for rbs. Especially an injured one even though I like him.
  11. I like him a good bit as a prospect but our strategies and picks feel like 90s and early 2000s football. Definitely dated.
  12. Yea, i hope he balls out on the field but right now I dont like it at all. Especially when AD and Ladd were there for the taking. Im tired of repeatedly taking big receivers that you have to manufacture touches for. Almost all the uses for him they mentioned are gadget plays the same as Shenault was. If Im taking a wr in the first I want them to be a true wr. Especially when there is a very good chance hes our #1 wr next year regardless of how good or bad he is this coming season.
  13. I really like JPJ as a prospect, I'm just not sure how he fits in a wide zone scheme.
  14. Ladd or AD would totally turn me around on the XL pick, but even though im not happy about the XL pick I think we have bigger needs at 39 but I would personally still love it lol
  15. I really like Laube if youre looking for strictly pass catching rb and blocker and for chubba to take the carries. Hes not my #1 back or anything but he will be available in the 5th and is really good at what we need and showed it off in the senior bowl as well.
  16. Shenault was great at adjusting to badly thrown deep balls in college my friend.
  17. Heres what I'm going to say. I hope everyone arguing that hes going to be great are right. Im just saying as far as a prospect, his red flags and concerns are some of the worst ones that usually prevent players from becoming good in the NFL by the weights i put on them in my personal preferences.
  18. Also I would prefer not to throw many 50/50 jump balls for 8 yards across the middle. I would rather have a quick receiver on a timing route with seperation that has a chance for yac for 8 yards.
  19. He quoted his college stats his 5th year as why he will be a good receiver. I said that the wr i compare him to also put up those stats in college.
  20. Im saying you cant say because he did it against a random college kid that he will do it against an NFL cb. There is a huge difference most of the time. WRs whos highlights in college are all contested catches hardly ever make it in the nfl.
  21. College isnt the NFL. Shenault had over 1000 yards receiving in a season in college as well.
  22. Yep. And going to be even less seperation in the NFL with more athletic and most likely bigger corners on him. This isnt the flex highlight they think it is, its actually the opposite.
  23. I asked whar elite trait/s does he have? Not what do they like.
