  1. Only way is down 30 is the wall and he's been hobbled by injuries two years in a row. Either you risk it and keep using him like you have or you pull back and his relevancy fades and with it his value. I don't think Rhule is using coach speak here he is going to continue to let CMC loose and if it doesn't work it may be a problem for a different coach altogether in another year.
  2. I'm fine with it but let's not pretend it will just end here. This is going to keep going on and on someone has to lose and nobody likes it when it's their turn and the rules will be a focal point again somehow. The biggest reason will be the sketchy calls and the calls not made as the refs continue to have an impact on outcomes. That will always bring another controversy.
  3. Who believes nonsense like this? It was not just one nagging injury they were holding him out for out of just precaution. It was multiple. You were so eager to attack anyone who said we were running him into the ground when his rate of usage was discussed now you are calling people Rhule boot lickers lmao. Get a grip.
  4. The hip thing to do last spring was shriek Adam Gase's name anytime a hint of doubt was expressed about Sam. It was always entirely possible and likely both he and Sam were bad but you couldn't talk some into that. With Tannehill he at least looked competent as a passer early on. But honestly even he is being overrated in comparison to Darnold to make Sam look less bad.
  5. Well maybe this is what he should've done all along. But most fans will remember him getting in front of cameras and microphones often to engage in a public back and forth with the best quarterback in franchise history back in 2020. If he can do all that he can at the very least issue a public statement about the state of the team as other owners have done.
  6. This fanbase has always had an odd infatuation with him some of it is that and some of it is they are just homers. But CMC wouldn't be the first to wash out with injuries after being the best back in the league for a season or two.
  7. This was all a contentious debate early last season until the wheels fell off. Fun threads to revisit.
  8. There are actually people in here who think Sam will be the starter AND he will be a good QB?
  9. The idea was always very high risk low probability of reward. And those other teams looking at him decided what the Panthers should have as well. He was not worth the risk. You can hem and haw about hindsight but we were ripped off by the New York Jets. One of the worst run teams over the last 20 years. That's going to sting for awhile and it could have and should have been prevented if we had not been petrified of drafting our own QB.
  10. He wasn't one of the worst starters in the league when we traded for him? The guy who said he was seeing ghosts on the field? What are you arguing?
  11. It was all a bad idea. The Jets knew what we damn well should have. But instead we had people who thought they saw Matt Stafford in him.
  12. Gordon is 32 on his third team with the same storyline all over again.
  13. Oh geez now we've got two billionaire knob polishers on this site
  14. These refs are garbage. Of all the things I've seen an NBA player ejected for and the things I've seen players that weren't ejected for that is ridiculous.
  15. Uh no. What got us Sam Darnold was the front office was scared to draft their own QB and instead negotiated against themselves and traded for another teams already chewed up and spit out failure without even watching his gametape. If you don't want one in this draft that's fine but using Sam Darnold to justify it is going over a ledge to make a point.
  16. And the consensus on those next year quarterbacks will change with the wind just like it did with this years class. No one can predict how they will perform and how that will affect their draft stock there is plenty of time left for things to change positively or negatively. Rest assured if we do not draft one this year these same takes will be prevalent before next years draft too.
  17. Some of the next year folks just have a QB they are in love with and won't let it go. Everyone has some form of bias in these QB draft discussions it's the same thing every year. But it's funny to watch those with the loudest takes flail about like no one can see it and their opinion is so highly regarded. There will be busts this year there will be busts next year. Take your shot and move on.
  18. In a trade down scenario yeah you take a look and consider options he would be one. Not having a 2nd really blows. Even worse we one upped ourselves and shipped off our 3rd
  19. I can't say I personally need to hear from him. But if he hadn't pulled a 180 from being a total chatterbox and interacting with the fans as often as possible to being on a "have you seen me?" poster there wouldn't be much said about this.
  20. After all your shitposting over QB's for months on end you're really a Stan for Jimmy Garoppolo of all people.
