On this I wholeheartedly agree. Also fug Dan Quinn.

The refs are going to have that Kansas City home cooking ready to go tonight.

It's a stretch too far if anyone is going to tell me Pete Carroll had absolutely no input on that call. He wanted to try and give Russell Wilson the "glory" at the end there and it ended catastrophically. Furthermore in Wilson's time there it has been documented and confirmed he was treated one way different from some of his teammates who were held to a different standard by Pete Carroll and his staff. Even furthermore the one Super Bowl Pete Carroll won was coincidentally the worst Super Bowl I've ever seen. That was not even a contest. From the first snap. The Broncos were dead in the water. Peyton Manning was throwing ducks all over the place. Absolute trash. Honestly I think just about any other team that year would have wiped the floor with those Broncos. The least impressive Super Bowl win in history IMO. Anyways. He didn't ever get back there again did he?

Idk I do think ultimately Pete Carroll is a capable head coach but he's pushing his mid seventies and now he's going to be working under Mark Davis. And as far as his resume goes if I'm just being completely blunt when he was at his best in this league he will always be known as the coach who had the chance to win back to back Super Bowl's but arrogantly opted to take the ball out of the hands of Marshawn Lynch in one of the most obvious and simple run the ball scenarios in league history. He's kind of overrated.

That's hilarious about the Bucs OC. Unfortunately in the NFL teams always find a scapegoat so I'm not shocked to see Slowik was made the fall guy in Houston. I imagine he'll bounce back somewhere. Some similarities to Joe Brady.

Idk the Panthers under David Tepper haven't exactly been known for their poker face. We definitely don't seem to be shy about who we like.

I must say Mark Williams has been damn impressive. Have to give him credit for responding strongly on the court after all the criticism and questions that have swirled around him for months now.

All this tells me is Dan Morgan made an absurdly foolish gamble. RB is plug and play. No player at any position can miss the first three years of their career and hope to still have one. I mean I'm not trying to be abrasive here but it is mind numbing that we've put ourselves in this position when all we had to do was take a flier on a running back in the mid rounds like the majority of the rest of the NFL does. But Dan Morgan similarly to the mindset of Scott Fitterer had to go and think he was the smartest guy in the room. But the Cowboys wanted him! Hey the Cowboys also wanted Jonathan Mingo. Big whoop.

4 GM's and 6 head coaches since 2011. Yeah I'd have to say that definitively sounds dysfunctional. And we should know a thing or two about that given our...ahem...experience under David Tepper.

You can argue about Jayden Daniels weapons but he is absurdly efficient with the ball for a rookie. He has the 2nd highest number of pass attempts in the playoffs and sits at 69.7 completion percentage. He's exceptionally rare. Now the question is how far will he go and will he be able to sustain this in his sophomore season.

It's annoying that this discussion keeps going back to arguing over the investment. It's not just the investment you can draft RB's in the first two rounds but you don't trade up to draft a back with a torn ACL who also isn't a game changer and would be a mid round pick at best in the the upcoming draft. Dan Morgan should be getting a hell of a lot more grief for that trade and selection instead some people want to shine his shoes because he's a former Panther.

I think you're being overly kind but that's fine to have a difference of opinion. I'm of the opinion that the Bears ownership while they are not Mark Davis they are not a significant upgrade either. Now the roster is a different topic that has a lot of potential but let's not act like they have a franchise QB just yet. Caleb Williams was at times horrendously bad like worse than even Bryce when he was struggling and for all the criticisms of Bryce our locker room didn't fall apart like it did with Caleb Williams. I get the sense some of you got a hard on for Ben Johnson and that's cool I guess but I prefer the Bears to be a dumpster fire I despise that franchise as much as the Broncos now. They can get fuged.

Compared to the Raiders it's certainly debatable but I'd give the edge to Chicago. Still. Between the two jobs it's basically comparing turds. I'll be eager to see how seamlessly he transitions into being the guy as opposed to one of the moving parts.
-
He's going to have his hands more than full in Chicago. In the last 25 years alone Lovie Smith is the only one to last 5 years or more on the job as head coach for the Bears. Odds are not in his favor.

Momentum swing is real the Eagles better get it together.

Had Barkley on my ultimate team some years ago back when I actually had the time and money to waste. I'm happy for him.

Saquan is a damn problem

Watching some of these teams in the playoffs with 14 and 15 wins looking like utter dogshit gives me hope for Canales in year 2. The NFC is simply not that formidable at all.

Luvu / Chinn….. why did we let them go again?
frankw replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Idk I think he was trying to mend fences for the sake of the fans here but he definitely wanted to play in Philadelphia wasn't that his favorite team growing up? But I do recall him venting his frustration toward the end of that season with us. That's just what this franchise does to people unfortunately. -
I really don't see any semblance of the Jalen Hurts that was in MVP talks a few years ago. Even if they somehow squeak past the Rams it looks like it's a wrap.

Reddick wanted to leave too remember he was vocally frustrated and expressed that on social media. This has been the story of the Tepper era Panthers.
