  1. Some people deal in emotions over logic. I'd say he's top 15. To get into the top ten though he's going to have to stay healthy and play a full season. That's what makes his contract a massive risk. I like him. I hope it pays off for us. On the flip side though I know my Panthers. We'll see.
  2. I tend to agree with you about the cap. But in fairness every year the Panthers are also trash. Sucks but that's the truth.
  3. Needless to say the wins need to begin following promptly.
  4. Typical clout chasing clownery on social media.
  5. He's turning 35 this summer. AT being the most reliable WR on the team isn't a good thing. People can bloviate about building culture (honestly nothing more than cringe at this point btw) with moves like this but we were one of if not the worst teams in the league last year at certain points. I mean we've been on the phone fairly desperate with both the Seahawks and now the Bengals trying to negotiate a deal for something younger and better.
  6. The good thing is he has this offseason to make strides improving himself in the fundamentals. Hopefully he does. If not well that's another strike for our lengthy track record with the position. That's the life of a Panthers fan.
  7. Oh absolutely we squandered that. But it had to be done as far as moving on and the trade. Just an inevitability for all involved.
  8. From MVP talks and a record breaking contract to perpetually injured and on the trade block in less than 2 years. Life comes at you fast at the RB position.
  9. I would certainly like to solidify the WR room but if the Bengals are being twats about the asking price then move on. It's already going to require an exorbitant investment and it is unknown if Higgins is even worth all that even if he stays healthy.
  10. He's not worth what it would cost plus the record setting contract. If we were going to just throw the kitchen sink at a Bengals WR it would be Chase. But that's never going to happen.
  11. I like this one. More explosive weapons yes please. Plus he has a cool name. Also. Obligatory random film reference: c836996f-e137-43fd-a609-92c63c553b6e.mp4
  12. If we're talking strictly special teams then yes I'll agree with you there are guys on every roster who fly under the radar and many don't ever get their flowers. As far as contributing to the offense goes. I remember the hoopla over Ihmir Smith Marsette and he's done comparatively world's more than this guy. Brenton Bersin has done more. Let's just keep things in perspective.
  13. He's entering his fifth year in the league and has 3 career receptions. Nobody knows who he is. But hey maybe he can change that.
  14. Oh I know I'm just saying it's likely we're going to have to throw another draft pick at the offense either TE or WR on top of another RB although we could find a back after the draft if need be.
  15. Who? This WR room is.......less than ideal.
  16. Warm body who can actually tackle. I'll take what I can get.
  17. When the Panthers start making great decisions that turn into great moves they will begin to get the benefit of the doubt on certain things. Until then this is the norm. Just labeling any and all skepticism as hate is silly. Welcome to the real world.
  18. Settle down I'm not arguing he's too old to be a Punter. I'm simply offering information. But it's clear that the team will be planning on going younger at the position in the upcoming future. And that's a good thing.
  19. Oh good grief. You can give him credit for the good without just glossing over the bad and pretending like we were not absolute hot garbage at certain points last season when the games still mattered and people were just complaining to complain. Make no mistake. While we hold Morgan in regard and like him a great deal because he's a former franchise player. He has to prove he can build this team through the draft just as much as any Panthers coach or player has to prove it out there on the field. There is nothing wrong with acknowledging these plain truths.
  20. I'm willing to accept gambling on overpaying for the defensive line but overpaying for a safety that's meh in coverage is not one of my favorite moves thus far. But hopefully this all works out. Then again this is the Panthers we're talking about.
  21. Oh wow that's a pleasant surprise. Great news for our depth.
  22. Panthers have done this under Fitterer ultimately at a waste. We have a top ten pick. Take a top talent at 8 and keep it pushing. This trying to be the smartest guy in the room act is what got Scott Fitterer in trouble in every draft.
  23. Same age as Hekker. Based on what I just read on Bills reddit he's been largely average to below average numbers wise. I assume we'll be looking for a long term solution in the not so distant future. Now to see who our place kicker will be.
