Not at all surprising. The Washington game gave us hope. Sadly Cam was still bested by Taylor Heinecke and then the Dolphins game happened. It's time to acknowledge reality. But this team better continue to do right by Cam when the time comes. Which does not seem far off as I don't think he wants to be a clipboard holder. He has numerous off field opportunities ahead I wish him luck and success.

While unlikely anything is now possible after what Watson pulled off especially with all that has been going on behind the scenes. You don't have to like it but the power dynamic in the league is changing. If Kyler really did want out it could get ugly and go that way. The Watson saga is only the beginning.

Right!? I like Horn a lot he is going to be a stud and you can tell he is a student of the game. But at the end of the day he is still just a corner. As good as he will be he can only do so much if our offense is doing what it's always done which is go 3 and out. It just boggles the mind that we would go corner last year when QB and LT have been the biggest looming voids and are currently two of the most sought positions. It is not hyperbole to say we have only further delayed this rebuild with an all defense draft and back to back 1sts on defense. Sam or no Sam this team is not getting a top 5 pick next year. We have been awful the last three years and the best we could muster was 6. Those win streaks with Kyle Allen and Darnold only set us back further. The universe enjoys laughing at the Panthers.

Long term? It's one year. And he is clearly a bust. Even the Jets and their knuckledragger fans know this. Did Jimmy Clausen have any staunch fans still drinking the koolaid like this?

Spotrac has him with a 35 million dollar cap hit next year. Even if we were to be willing not having our 2nd and 3rd this year makes that difficult unless we are going to offer a player in return.

Start with the teams that have the most cap space and go from there. If we are offering compensation there will be a few willing to listen. At this point it should start clicking for fans that they don't want him here even as a backup. They want him out of the building. That speaks for itself.

Been telling ya'll the truth. The only player on this roster that should be untouchable is LaMelo. Everyone else if you need to move them do so and build a better team. If mediocre is the bar keep doing this I guess but if you want to compete in the playoffs and not wiped off the court somebody has to go.
