  1. He ranked 12th in 2018 and 11th in 2020 after the seasons so 15 is a pretty fair starting point. Could swing 5 spots up or 10 spots down under this staff.
  2. I had no idea Walter football was such a nut job looking at his Twitter replies. I think his site is best left to keeping track of available free agents, everything else has turned kinda childish
  3. Darnold not even on the list ouch. I guess they kept it to 1 qb per team for these rankings
  4. Would you expect anything else coming out of strict mormon ideals? You can't have a beard but can have like 20 baby momma's.
  5. Well he's a complete 180 from Darnold, which will at least be entertaining television
  6. Maybe he'll go as far as a 4 qb system this year to really get the opposing teams heads spinning
  7. It was a horrible contract for sure. Wouldn't have mattered last year if he was here either way and now we have like 15 WR's on the squad. Baker is gonna want/need Higgins on the field especially early in the year with not much offseason time to acclimate to everyone
  8. They owe him about $10M guaranteed this year and $10M again next year either way and I don't think anyone would give us anything of any value in return to compensate. It's part of the process
  9. Exactly. If Darnold is done, Baker is basically a more experienced Corral. They basically play the same RPO/half field read game. Baker is in year 5 of his career and still struggles sitting in the pocket on full field reads when the D's force him to. That's basically the biggest knock on Corral and I don't think it would take him long to make 2 or 3 half field reads one he learns the playbook. Baker's arm seems a little more accurate at the middle/long throws at the moment though so that's something Corral may or may not be able to match/correct. Accuracy is kinda up in the air as far as being coachable, once you're in the thick of it most guys just revert to their natural tendencies for better or worse
  10. One thing i've noticed watching these breakdowns is Baker is still basically just reading 2 reads/half the field when he's performing well I don't see why Corral couldn't eventually do the same. Similar arm talent, Corral a little taller. Mayfield maybe a little more naturally accurate with his ball placement but Corral still needs at least a decent amount of preseason minutes to get acclimated before he's on the bench all year long. Hope Darnold gets cut so Corral actually gets fair work in practice to be prepared to come in
  11. Nobody was high on McAdoo 4 years ago so he can deal with it or go back to "consulting"
  12. I think we have enough threads going so I'll just throw PNP's good bad and ugly breakdown in here, he throws in some nice analytics by the year with his performance vs O-line and skill player rankings, and then basic film reactions. I always like their breakdowns for the regular person in addition to the QB genius film study guys like Kurt Warner etc.. Sometimes nice to just go by feel instead of who should have done what on every single route
  13. All the guys listed did their time as position coaches, worked up to coordinators, then got HC jobs. Rhule knows zero about actual on the field NFL football, the pressers trying to explain why everything was a disaster by mid season were unbearable to listen to. He would absolutely never get hired as a coordinator by another NFL team so I don't see why he'd ever get a HC job again.
  14. Throw in signing Cam Erving and Elflein on day 1 of FA, hand all that over to a college passing game coordinator and that's a recipe for failure
  15. His best year with the Jets was 2017 with Josh Mccown, same with Teddy here. Seems like it doesn't take much QB talent wise to get him around 1k receiving yards, also Catch % was higher with the other 2 QB's
  16. Also it's the offseason and it's easy for the trades and draft picks and everything to gloss over the owner/coach BS. As soon as the live game action begins Rhule is going to go immediately back into his shitty ways and we'll be bitching about the main problem all over again. Too late for him to change or grow, he seemed like the same impatient spazz he's always been during that draft confidential video
  17. At the least there are tons of Browns fans in the comments that think he got fuged over, If we cut Sam tomorrow we'd have about 0 people on this board upset over it. Always a couple trolls or people mentioning he didn't ask for us to make a shitty trade to the Jets but his overall play and indifference to being here is obvious. I still think we should have just kept Teddy until we drafted our own guy
  18. Yeah Tim Bailey breakdown was good on 4mr. One issue is Rhule is basically Freddie Kitchens but with a massive contract the owner doesn't want to admit was a huge mistake. Neither guy is good at dealing with adversity in the locker room or the stress of managing a game in real time
  19. If says filmed prior to the trade in fine print
  20. So how would he explain his Watson tweet?
  21. Rhule wasn't "forced" to do anything until maybe getting some real coaching staff this year. His press conferences speak for themselves as far as what players he favors or is responsible for. Darnold and PJ will be around until someone pries them from his hands. Can't wait for his 3QB system starting up again by week 5
  22. What I heard on Youtube is basically he can get the regular 5th year option salary through incentives, $3.5M or whatever it is
  23. Weird they haven't officially announced the signing but maybe waiting for a little presser or something
  24. One issue is we have Sam who sucks either way, then Baker and Corral who are both RPO guys playing for an OC that with the Giants basically did shotgun no huddle quick reads. McAdoo also seems like the kinda guy to get stuck in his ways. Corral probably has the highest ceiling as a pocket passer IMO. Baker maybe a little more accurate but his QBR is pretty low when forced to stay in the pocket
  25. I'd think a team like the Texans or Seattle would have to trade for Sam if one of their QB's had a serious injury. Though there are probably better 3rd string backups floating around the league for cheaper.
