If only we took the Ladd last year. TMac would’ve been a perfect fit with him. -

Round 1 - Panthers Select Tetairoa McMillan at Pick 8

Seems like Morgan and even other GM’s (since he’s still available) are scared about Walkers size, traits, and film. I’ve said all along that if you watch Walker‘s film, it leaves a lot to be desired. Seems like other football guys agreed with that. Mykel Williams would’ve been the next guy up, but I don’t think he’s a difference maker and neither did Dan Morgan. TMAC is going to be a great player for us. Buckle up and enjoy the ride. -

He’ll get separation by being twice the size of the DB and boxing them out for the ball. -

Meanwhile, XL is riding horses in the country eating rodents.. This pick definitely shows us what Dan Morgan and Canales think of XL. He better get his sh!t together. -

I’m glad that Dan Morgan learned from his mistakes and didn’t tip our pick this year. He had all of us fooled. -

Comparisons are just comparisons. You never actually know what the player will turn into. I think he’s much better than Drake London. i’ve been watching him since high school. He’s special. -

If he busts yeah. You could say that about any player. If Tmac turns out to be an AJ Green/ Tee Higgins caliber player, it’ll be a great pick. I think he’ll be great. -
General Draft Rumors/Speculation Thread

I keep seeing smoke on social media that the Panthers really like Walter Nolan. -
The Panthers picked # 32 last year. If we trade back, that will be another year of a mid to late 1st round pick. We’ve consistently been one of the worst teams in the NFL for quite a while. I don’t think it’s unfair to say that some of us just want to see this struggling franchise have a high draft pick for once. Trading back and picking where playoff teams are at is a kick in the nuts. It’s nice to feel rewarded for your crappy season.
-
Taking less than market value is the definition of getting fleeced. Just because it’s a “weaker draft” in some people’s eyes doesn’t mean it’s acceptable to not get full value for your pick. Frankly, there’s a lot of players I like who are projected to be at #8 , but not later on if we trade out. The 2025 Draft could be full of studs in 3 years. Why accept less than market value when no one truly knows how these players will turn out? Market value is market value. Idc what year it is.
-
There’s reports that the Panthers are potentially willing to take less than market value on a trade back which is unacceptable. That’s why I’m saying I could see Morgan getting fleeced. Everyone knows the Panthers are desperate to trade back which puts us in a low leverage situation.. Add in the selections he made last year with his trades, I’d like to see Morgan stay put and not get cute. Trading back has rarely worked for this franchise anyways.
-
Wasn’t a fan of any of his first three draft pick trades last year. You can make the argument that XL, Brooks, Wallace were all poor picks. All of whom he traded either up or down for. I’d rather have him stay put and pick from our scheduled #8 slot. He doesn’t seem to do well moving around and adjusting on the fly. Plus a lot of it is just a feeling. I still can’t get over how he was Fitterer’s right hand man along with his underwhelming draft last year. I don’t trust him yet.
-
Just the thought of Dan Morgan trading back into the first round is not a move I am comfortable with. I honestly don’t trust him enough to get fair value. Dan Morgan is probably the GM other GM’s whisper/joke about and say “yeah just call Dan Morgan up, he’ll do anything” Hopefully he can prove me wrong.
