  1. I overall quite love that Morgan, Luke, Jake, Gross, & Greg are becoming such an integral part of the franchise from an organizational standpoint. It really is awesome. This is how the team's legacy grows and gains credibility. It was so weird how shut out Rhule made all of it feel. It feels like a family that's come back and a clown demon's shadow has been lifted. Rhule was the Violater, Wilks is Spawn.
  2. Just look at these dudes I'd also like to throw a shoutout to Austin Corbett who has been really damn solid. What a story he is going from on verge of a Cleveland bust to a SB winning RG, and now dredging at RG for us. Ekwonu-Brady-Boze-Corbett-Moton And have these guys mentoring someone like Mays, it's a good situation to be in. FINALLY. For for the love of god find a coach & QB
  3. Rhule riding him on the bench was possibly the worst roster decision in the franchise's history on the OL. Maybe at any spot, anywhere. Pro Bowl, 3+ year Ravens starting Center ready to maul just sitting there.
  4. SIGN HIM LONG TERM FIT. And give him a C patch. This is a MAN. This man deserves so much credit for the team's recent performance. Protections calls, helping out whoever's in at QB, mauling interiors, infusing life and character into the unit.
  5. That's me, may not be popular but totally think he could be a first rounder. Has too many tools to pass on from my view. He had a phenomenal year and has as much upside as AR but is miles more refined as a passer. Had some great wins, tight throws, accurate, NFL arm, and is a madman on his feet. He beefed up from 185 to around 200 this year, so has conditioned himself into quite the ideal size. I think he's the total package AZ State fans thought he could become.
  6. This could've turned into an unwatchable 2010 type season, but somehow, some way, they've turned this runaway train into a glorious hodgepodge of spectacle. Reminds me of the end of Bullet Train if anyone has seen that flick. Somehow, some way, ditching CMC and barely throwing to DJ is working for us haha.
  7. The nice thing with a Steichen hire is that he could pull in Brian Johnson for his OC who's apparently been raved about in Philly for coaching up Hurts. Do that, retain Wilks if he wants to stay on board (and Shane is cool with it). That's about as good of a scenario as you can ask for.
  8. Coming from a TX town near you...I present, Rh.... Rhett Lashlee! Tepper will fly you in and give you $50 mil cool. Ain't no thang.
  9. Just looking at how Philly's offense was built with a 2nd Round QB people scoffed at, a RB committee that's mainly Sanders with Scott & Gainwell being change of pacers, & a top tier WR group and stud TE, stud OL, I'd have to think many would be VERY intrigued at the prospect of building from our foundation. The Athletic FS even mentioned this the other week and I really agree. You get: A SET, top performing OL A Good WR group needing a possible star A Great running game Can cherry pick their own QB and star WR/TE Defense is already mostly set, could ask Wilks to stick around I mean, that's such a good setup for a HC.
  10. Steichen and B Johnson are the hot ones. Obvious crushes for many around these parts and on other HC needy team subs. Demeco is league wide wanted, but we're craving the offensive guy right now. Reich would be respectable, not my top, but could jump on board. He has the connects and would get a good staff together. Waldren is interesting but Carrol's crew has not been known to be the best when elevated minus one year for Quinn.
  11. This is the best path I see. Best combination of excitement, bridging, everything. Can even retain Wilkes if he's game to maintain the defense and AHC role he had for Ron.
  12. Let's get our priorities straight: Hire Shane Steichen Retain Wilks as a DC & Assistant Head Coach Retain Campen & Tabor Now QB wise?? You draft high (Richardson), draft low (Tune), & sign the man, the myth, the legend: Our low pick and Corral duke it out for QB3, Richardson acclimates, Minshew dominates. Any questions?
  13. All stud TEs to consider...this draft is abundant IMO. Cam Latu Arik Gilbert Tucker Kraft Luke Schoonmaker Sam LaPorta Darnell Washington Dalton Kincaid Luke Musgrave Michael Mayer
  14. This is maybe one of the best TE classes in 20 years and Kincaid may be my favorite of them all after the ND kid. Would absolutely love him in round 2.
  15. Did a PFFer: R1 Anthony Richardson QB Florida - Mega upside QB R2 Dalton Kincaid TE Utah - Star TE R3 Mazi Smith IDL Michigan - Monster next to Brown & Burns? Yes please R3-4 Micah Baskerville LB LSU - Micah enters next to Luvu & Smith, Shaq exits R3-4 Kenre Miller RB TCU - No problem in having him min RB3, competing for carries. Have a committee like other good squads. R4 Clayton Tune QB Houston - 2nd QB to see if there's a diamond here R4-5 Malik Knowles WR KSU - One of the mid-round WRs I definitely like
  16. Pretty much. For some recent 1st rounders like Jones & Pickett, that's why they got passed by a lot of QB needy teams, including us, and it's for a reason. If you aren't hitting prototype measurables, you need to possess some sort of elite trait in your game, ideally a combo of a few. I.E.: accuracy, arm, mechanics, footwork, consistent GWDs, etc. They just hit the benchmark on a few things and had great college numbers. So close enough to the size you want, but just nothing special once separated from Bama and, let's be honest with Pickett, Jordan Addison. AJ McCarron syndrome. And on the flip side, if you're developmental, you need obvious physical traits or an apparent star ceiling. I think many to most teams determined Willis did not possess that ceiling last year and it shows when he's gone in for TEN. Same for what Ridder and Corral brought to the table. People got starry eyed with Corral's release but he seems to be really raw coming from that Ole Miss system. Now, has has this been proven otherwise at times? Sure, Brees, Brady, Dak, and Wilson were misses for many squads. But those are exceptions. At the end of the day, I see that star upside in Richardson, and with guys like Penix, Ward, Daniels returning to school, there's a pretty big cliff unless you're hoping a 2nd-4th rounder buds into something like Tune, McConnell, Duggan, etc. You take that boom/bust guy in the QB3-4 range, just like the Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, & Chargers did. Get the specimen with all the tools, trust you can develop with the right staff & team--that's the recipe.
  17. "But Mac Jones has unbelievable processing speed, I'll ignore the fact everything else about him is pedestrian or below. He's also very smaht, multiple DUI smaht. Wicked good"
  18. Yeah I'm pipe dreaming. Brian Johnson in PHI looks cool but get what you're saying, could be hard to sustain. Good OC's are being pried left and right into HC spots. McDaniel, O'Connell, Taylor, the list goes on. Steichen and Ben Johnson will be next. About the only guy that's perked my interest in Darrell Bevell in MIA. He could do well back in an OC role (much better than McAdoo, but I don't think he's HC material)
  19. We lost to the Ravens with Baker stinking it up. But I hear you.
  20. Nice write up. If we're rolling with him come season's end, we really need a focused search on getting a legitimate offensive mind in house that won't leave immediately for a HC gig. Priority #1 alongside QB.
  21. Massive heart attack apparently.
  22. I agree on the philosophy and we may honestly end up in a very ideal spot to land him. The Richardson, FA/Darnold, & Corral route may be one to go for our QB group. And then, if we like a guy later to take a stab on in R4-6, might as well. Competition never hurts.
  23. That would show some gall to go there and face SEC defenses. He'll be able to show what he's got really shortly into 2024. If I were a kid like him, I'd be seeing what looks good out West. Just seems like the spot where dudes can bloom.
