Caleb Williams is struggling big time in OTAs
Lame Duck replied to Lame Duck's topic in Carolina Panthers
To me it screams bears OL is ass. Hope Caleb can get rid off the ball in under 3 seconds. -
For anyone who cares… Sounds like Bryce last season but worse. The Athletic’s Jon Greenberg reports Caleb Williams and the Bears offense has struggled during OTAs. Bears beat writers have reported plenty of Williams’ passes hitting the ground, difficulties getting set for plays, and constant pressure on the rookie from the Chicago defense. Greenberg said Williams was “under pressure while his receivers (which didn’t include Rome Odunze or Keenan Allen) tried to get open. There were a few just-missed interceptions. Sometimes, Williams couldn’t even get passes off as the secondary used its space advantage in the red zone to shut down receivers. We saw a lot of screen passes, many of which turned into scores. Occasionally, the offense struggled to line up or get a play off.” Hopefully a full summer of practices against a tough Bears defense will prepare Williams — the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 draft — for live action competition starting with the Titans in Week 1.

For Those Who Think Brooks is too Small to be a 3 Down Back...

They are very different backs. I don’t think folks understand the difference between north-south back and all purpose back. Jonathan Steward had 1.3k receiving yards in 11 season. Gurley who Brooks resembles to had 2.3k yards in 6 seasons (1.7k in his 3 season before he got hurt) -
Brady’s contract is insane as well.

Legette is much much bigger than Mingo. His ass is bigger than Mingo shoulders.

There was a discussion about it for over a year. $1.2B split between Panthers and the city. Almost certain they will put a roof over BofA and probably add more seats. Locals are pissed about the expense so city and Tepper kept it hush hush.

Does anyone actually think Bryce will actually be good?

Yea, he was 32nd pick, 1 year prior to NFL expansion. -

He got progressively worse after Reich got fired. I think Tepper screwed up. It’s no coincidence. Brown was a complete dog crap of a coordinator. -

Want to see something crazy? Look in Bryce stats after Dallas game. They parked Bryce and told him to play conservative. Bryce first 9 games: 9 TDs, 8 Int, ~1,600 total yards. Bryce last 8 games: 2 TD, 2 Int, ~1,600 total yards. With just 1 game over 200 yards passing. If you remove that game… Bryce is 0 TDs, 2 Int, and 1,300 total yards in 7 games. Just disaster the way the handled him. Dude regressed as the season went on. He took zero chances after bye week. Just stayed in the pocket and got pounded. His confidence got sucked out just by looking at his stats. -

Ahhh, we are talking about first overall? My bad. I thought we talking about first round picks who sucked first year as starters. -

Bryce has no choice but to show improvement or he will be benched/gone after this season. Two things going on: 1. Bryce is given fresh start with huge supporting cast improvement 2. New coaching and GM who are not tied to Bryce Bryce has to show steady improvement during the season or he will be on another team or back-up in 2025. He knows that as well. -
My mowing shoes are my old running shoes cause clearly I no longer run if I got a riding lawn mower.

$45 is a hell of a deal. I was told $90 per cut so $360 per month. My lawnmower will pay for itself within 2-3 years plus gives me opportunity to get out of the house.

It’s not just to mow but I also trim, edge, and blow. Just mowing takes me like 30-40 mins especially as I got better at driving that thing.

I already mowed my yard 6 times… so much fun. For the first time in my life I can’t wait until it’s time to mow. It’s like ridding a go cart.

BREAKING: Panthers signing Rashad Penny
Lame Duck replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Would be such an amazing addition if true! He basically took a year off last year. We will pound the rock big time this year. He’s a bruiser.
