  1. Oh it wasn't a spat. I was in a rush to get my kid this morning out the door for school and I was fooling with the site and saw his question. I didn't feel like explaining myself how I get that feeling so I just told him I was a carny. Seemed like the most simple answer. How I know though is working with him personally the past 3 years before anybody knew who he was and watching him grow as a player as well as seeing his insane work ethic day in and day out. Speaking to him a few weeks ago and hanging out at our alma mater during a home game on the sidelines I could see a very motivated young man to prove any skeptics wrong. I'm obviously biased due to our ties to the school and our history together but the guy is going to make a mark eventually and get acclimated day by day and week by week. The final judgement is not out on Mingo either. We shall see how he does with a different QB throwing his way. He is far from bust category yet no matter what some others may think already. Development sometimes takes the right situation around a player with the right support even with factoring in a players solid inner drive and work ethic.
  2. Because I'm a god damn carnival psychic that's how. Good enough for you?
  3. Happy to see Chubba excelling. He appears to be the epitome of what a solid team player and leader is made up of. This guy definitely deserves a "C" on his jersey judging by how hard the runs and his effort put in. He should be a Panther for a number of years to come at the right price. Matt Rhule 's wife did a good job drafting him while all his many different coaches since he has been here have done a solid job combined in developing him but it took a solid coachable player in Chubba to do something with that coaching and better himself to improve as a player. By far one of my favorite Panthers who is a total Keep Pounding type guy. He is all effort and heart from what I see.
  4. I just want to know what has happened to Trevor Lawrence? I haven't taken the field against him but I've watched him very up close in college standing on the field as he worked his magic for Clemson (fug the tigers by the way). He showed every trait and aspect a true generational talent at QB has and though it was taught to me for 4 years playing at my alma mater to hate that university, I still had to watch and respect his game each time I saw him on the field a few feet from me working his craft. I met him a few times post game and always found the guy to be a humble easy going friendly fella as well so it made it hard for me to hate him as I was brought up in college as a player to do with anyone with our rivals. His first year was meh, his second he became the player I knew he would by admiring his gifts and abilities up close then last year he looked meh again but I was convinced it was because of a number of nagging injuries he suffered during the season. This season he is relatively healthy yet does not look like the top of the league can't miss generational QB that I knew he was in college. What is happening with Trevor?
  5. But he could just be an asshole employee frustrated like you and I are who wants them to win as well ya never know. I cannot imagine being a wide receiver and having Bryce throwing me the football week in and week out running around back there scare for his life throwing hospital balls and check down 3 yarders all game because he is simply scared and shell shocked. I would probably be malcontent and pissed off as well. I feel like there was about to be a revolt in the locker room lead by guys like Thielen and Dionte Johnson because they were sick and tired of scared boy QB antics.
  6. I'm trying to focus on the positive and hoping he has finally learned his lesson and stepping away from meddling micro managing douche canoe to just being an old fat guy owner who gets to run into the locker room afterwards and pat guys on the back for a job well done.
  7. Must be nice to have a rookie QB first round pick actually look like he has a future and gives a flying fug when he plays........
  8. I always wondered who the fugging nerds were that put brown paper bags on their heads to watch a game? My guess is they have never played a sport in their lives beyond middle school or rec league or they double down and use those paper bags when they get home to put over their ugly chick's faces before they bang those sows.
  9. I can confirm XL will be something. Hoping Mingo will too but XL will develop week by week you'll see
  10. But you comment on the team. How come you are allowed to buy he is not?
  11. Hopefully they could find a way with some moves in the offseason.
  12. Well, its not like he is going to just completely Bryce level fail out there all of a sudden. He wont light it up every single game but my god man, look at what we have been used to. I would say just take it a game at a time and try to get our young offensive guys some good development and have someone ready to go (Besides Bryce) if Dalton gets hurt or cant go.
  13. if Chuba does not end up wanting HUGE money after this season, I would work to keep him here. He is not a superstar but he is consistently good and runs hard no matter what every chance he gets. He is a blue collar guy and a great roster is made up of guys like him. Even when Brooks comes back, Chuba deserves his fair share and chances.
  14. Don't tell me, you "had it figured out the entire time" right? Let's just end the thread now and hire you as new GM. There's nothing wrong with Minshew. Nope, he didn't look like a star today but at least he isn't Bryce awful
  15. So at our 3rd game you literally want us to tank? You can't live as a franchise tanking every year by the third game and then no guarantees the picks you get by tanking and trading back for more picks even pan out in my opinion.
  16. What he said. There are guys posting threads currently wanting us to tank already. Tanking doesn't mean poo. You don't have to have the number 1 or 2 draft pick in order to get a good quarterback
  17. You don't need the fugging top pick in the draft to get a good quarterback. Would you rather the team be sucking today and Dalton look like poo?
  18. You seen Bryce play football last year and this year? After seeing 18 games with him quarterbacking, I don't think the dude could play CFL or USFL very well let alone an all pro in the NFL.
  19. I never did understand Chinn. Looked good his rookie year and then disappeared. I realize we had crap coaching and they werent playing him where he was meant to play so I figured he would have caught fire in Washington but apparently not.
  20. Carolina has struggled developing QB's since Cam but it still doesnt change the fact that Bryce has shown to simply be a bad NFL QB.
  21. I HATE the Saints but Drew Brees is one of the best to ever throw a football. He was a wizard and amazing. When I look at Bryce I dont see Drew Brees tangibles. Brees was actually fairly strong, he regularly worked out, his arm while perhaps not the strongest in the NFL was still a very solid arm and he had a football IQ better than most everyone elses. He did not fold under pressure and played with a very hot competitive fire. I have not seen any of that in Bryce unfortunately. Take Bryce and dump him on those Saints teams back then and I dont see how he could have even come close to replicating what Drew Brees did. You are talking about a first ballot hall of famer and had he played as many seasons Brady would probably hold the most yards and TD passes records. Brees was the best of the best, I just don't see that in Bryce at all.
