  1. If we're THAT committed to this plan that's a HUGE concern. I'm never a fan of going all-in on something when there are plenty of factors beyond your control. All in on a Cam or Luck or Trevor Lawrence when you're holding the #1 overall pick? Fine. Hell, all in on an RG3 when you're the Redskins and have traded for the #2 overall pick? Fine. But all in on a guy you're going to have to trade a fortune to get, his team is trying not to trade, and who is facing multiple allegations of sexual assault? Fug...
  2. Will they though? It's highly likely to be 99% he said/she said. If there were "facts" regarding the forced oral sex allegation, this would be a criminal case instead of a civil case.
  3. It doesn't have to last very long. The draft is only six weeks away. Six weeks is nothing in our convoluted court system.
  4. Nah, I think there's going to have to be some clarity to this situation before any trade happens.
  5. Everything the Texans have been doing over the past year or two has been insanity. This would be par for the course.
  6. Alright, now that we have all the off-field allegation stuff cooking in the "Allegations" thread let's open this one back up.
  7. I definitely wouldn't take it off the table.
  8. Nah, not really. I develop draft crushes every year. I bat about 50/50 on them whether or not they pan out.
  9. Yikes. Easy now. We have no idea who these women are and that's a huge assumption that entirely baseless given that we have no idea who they are or anything about them other than they are masseuses. I'm just saying, if you're going to pursue a civil suit that is largely going to consist of he said/she said type stuff, unless you're completely clueless you're going to do everything you can to clean up your traceable public profile before you pursue the suit.
  10. They got thoroughly cleaned up before any of these allegations ever came to light. That would've happened regardless of the truth to the claims.
  11. Yep, my ideal draft would go: 1st. QB 2nd. LT 3rd. CB
  12. I think you can likely already buy that NY Jets Zach Wilson jersey.
  13. Yeah, they've definitely been spending like drunken sailors. Not sure where they currently sit.
  14. Everything McNair has been doing with the Texans for awhile now has been counter productive.
  15. You're not just going to have to give up a 2nd rounder, you're also going to have to offer a contract that NE (a team with a LOT more cap room than we have) won't be willing to match. Just saying.
  16. Agreed. Everything that has been done this off-season points to him valuing his ego and his way or the highway approach over actually running a competent organization and fielding a winning team. Like I said earlier, this being a hit job would fit right in with how things have been going for McNair and the Texans.
  17. Yeah, I'm not going to go so far as to call these women liars until more information becomes available (and let's be honest, the "information" is highly likely to be of the he said/she said variety), but man... there are a LOT of factors that pile up to this being an orchestrated PR hit job. 1. Clout chasing lawyer known for outlandish BS (cartoonish mayoral campaign, parking a WWII tank in his yard, etc) 2. Attorney has (or at least claims to have) connections to McNair. Bragged about being friend and neighbor during aforementioned cartoonish mayoral campaign. 3. Timing. Right when it looked like the tide was turning on the will Watson be traded or will the Texans dig in saga... this.
  18. Locking this one for a bit to force the migration of this topic to the appropriate thread.
  19. It's worth noting that this lawyer has already been accused of faking text messages during his mayoral campaign and it seems like these cases (or at least one of them) is going to lean on a supposed text message conversation. Nothing would be more hilarious than to see McNair and this clout chasing lawyer go down in flames for a PR hit job.
  20. Would I be shocked in the least to find out McNair is ultimately behind this? Nope. Every time I think he can't possibly be any dumber, he proves me wrong. Seeing him double down on ego at the expense of his own organization would honestly fit like a glove with how we've seen him handle his team.
