Here comes your Andy Dalton moment says Collinsworth. Man, he just set this guy up to throw a pick six. LOL!
-
It's so predictably some type of gimmicky option run every time Fields comes in. Run an RPO option and you might have someone wide open.
-
He is. Everyone gives Gase hell for good reason, but honestly Nagy is no better. Maybe just stay completely away from four letter last name coaches.
-
When your QB can only throw the ball effectively about 10 yards, you're kinda left with no choice but to build your attack around the RB.
-
The difference in the ball velocity between Stafford and Dalton is pretty stunning. We have one guy slinging fastballs and the other guy throwing changeups.
-
Yeah. I mean Kupp would've had to stop to wait on the dying duck to arrive but he could've still made it to the endzone. LOL!
-
Yikes. Someone really screwed up there. Not sure if there was supposed to be a safety deep or if the CB was supposed to stay with him. Either way, blown coverage and easy TD.
-
Holy poo, he was WIDE OPEN.
-
I agree Stafford has been in an awful situation up in Detroit but not sure I'm buying his arm talent being underappreciated. Everyone has always considered him to have one of the best arms in the NFL.
-
He looked a LOT better early than he has in recent drives. I wanna see what he looks like after the half.
-
OMG... I thought the Rams we're gonna let Dalton run for a TD. That would've been embarrassing. Luckily he either did an awkward head first slide/dive or maybe he tripped over his own feet. Not sure which.
-
Yeah, it's like Teddy last year. If you just looked at the stat sheet it could look like he was having a nice, efficient game. But if you're actually watching the game you see a checkdown king holding back the offense. That's Dalton.
-
The Bears might be decent once they get Fields up to speed. They're running the ball well. Dalton just can't do anything to threaten to stretch the field.
-
Other than a turnover, that's about as bad as a "drive" gets right there.
-
Stafford can't hold the ball THAT long.
-
Damn, LeBron. Just take a razor to it. It's over, man.
-
Wow. That was pretty blatant DPI.
-
That looked like Greg Little at LT. Yikes.

Shaq Thompson deserves some love

Hey, whatever works. -
Didn't look very good today. Basically looked like a slower version of Funchess. Big guy who plays small.

Biggest glaring redzone weakness?

Over reliance on CMC and then Darnold just flat out missed two TD throws. Hit on those two throws and we put up 30+. -
Shaq Thompson deserves some love

It looked like he finally played like he had the confidence in himself that the Panthers have always had in him. -
Meanwhile, shouldn't take the Bears long to just go with Fields. Dalton is awful.
-
Well, damn. That's quite the debut throw for Stafford in L.A.

I've been hard on Shaq. Not that I've ever considered him a "bad" player, just that I've never felt he was the type of player who should've gotten the contract Hurney gave him. I guess that's not really being hard on Shaq, it's more being hard on our historic poor cap management with Hurney. Anyway... Shaq IMO had by far his best game as a Panther today. Led the team in tackles. Had a sack. Had an INT. Very nearly had a second INT. Broke up three passes with excellent coverage all day long. This is the type of performance the Panthers have always clearly thought him capable of having. Keep this up and all of a sudden that contract starts to look like a bargain.
