  1. True. Feels like the exact same thing again. Oh look, here is a very intriguing physical talent available considerably later in the draft than most expected largely based off of mental/processing concerns.
  2. I gotta think there was a lot more to the Titans seemingly moving on so quickly than what we saw on the field. They must have made the decision that there were off field concerns or limitations in work ethic or mentally that would prevent him from ever maximizing his physical talents. I mean, they were basically running a HS offense with him last year. Had to think it was just a small school rookie being protected at the time but seeing how quickly they moved on from him being their focus at QB for the future I don't think it was just them protecting a rookie. It may have been all he was capable of executing.
  3. Yep. Young, Stroud, and Richardson were all off the board by #4. We were completely SOL sitting at #9.
  4. Absolutely no way of knowing. The trade is done. No point in trying to hash out the details of who "won" and "lost" the trade right now and we might not know for years to come. For quite awhile it looked like the Chargers won that Eli trade with the Giants. They got an arguably better QB and a haul of great assets with the picks they acquired. But when it was all said and done, two rings to none declared the Giants the hands down winner.
  5. I'm honestly just not that interested in Levis. I think the dude is gonna suck. I'm very interested in Young (obviously), Stroud, and Richardson simply because those were the three guys I was okay with at #1. It's always interesting to see how draft classes pan out. Really hoping we drafted a damn stud and don't even care if he turns out not to be the best of the bunch as long as we end up having high level team success.
  6. Would've been interesting to see if it would've turned out the same way of he hadn't gotten drafted by the best team in the league at the time which was also one of the most stable, well ran organizations in the league. I mean, he got drafted into an absolute dream scenario.
  7. Bacot and RJ Davis averaged 16 a game last year. Having a legit PG running the offense should help everyone.
  8. We're on a long stretch of sucking. Playing down to their competition is something our competitors are going to worry about doing when facing us. Hell, we just want to actually compete for the first time in a long time.
  9. This is huge. He'll be our best true pass first PG since Kendall Marshall. I want to see what Hubert Davis' offense is supposed to look like. All I've seen is a bunch of isolation one on one ball, but he also hasn't had a real PG to work with either. Bacot has to be tickled to death. Really excited to see what he can do with someone on the roster who can actually throw an entry pass to the post. The guy has been working his ass off because he's had to get most of his himself off of a put backs.
  10. There's no way in hell three NFC South teams post a winning record.
  11. The guy spends most of his time trying to act like an agent or the president of the NFLPA.
  12. The #4 WR on a depth chart isn't a 3rd or 4th stringer. That guy is seeing a LOT of snaps in the modern NFL considering three wide sets are the base offense for just about every team these days. The 4th WR on the depth chart was an afterthought in the NFL of 20 years ago but he's a fairly significant contributor in today's game and is one WR injury away from being a starter.
  13. Peppers is literally one of the best defensive players in the history of the game. It's okay if Burns isn't Peppers. Very, VERY few are at that level. I'm really hoping the new scheme will free him up even more.
  14. Our foreign policy in the post-WWII era has been nothing short of disastrously atrocious.
  15. Insane. Why would you spend that type of money on someone else's dream home? I'd build my own if I had that kinda cash to spend. Interesting note but the owner of the current most expensive home ever sold in the Asheville area moved there from the same "town" in CO where we lived. I put it in parenthesis because it was all unincorporated. Money goes a helluva lot further in western NC (even Asheville) than it does in Colorado.
  16. I know he's said it but I honestly don't believe him. Cam is an alpha. It's just who he is. I can't see him being a happy, content backup. The guy will want to play.
  17. I have no idea how Gruden is still seen as a QB guru when he was carried by an elite D with mediocre offense on his actually good teams. With that said, he does have a history with Carr. Seems like this is likely per Carr's request.
  18. I'm a definite beer snob with what I drink but I don't care what you drink.
  19. I want to go all in on supporting our young QB that we've mortgaged the future of the franchise in the near to mid-term to trade up to get. It's not just about trying to compete this year IMO.
  20. I hold no ill will toward Baker. The guy came here, seemed like a good teammate, and did what the coaches asked. He certainly looked a lot better in LA.
