The Ravens can’t be this dumb? They’re a smart organization right?
Jon Snow replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Never said they would offer a contract. I just think they will reach out to see what he's really looking for. Tepper wants a franchise qb and one just became available. They are ready to do whatever it takes to get one. I would not dismiss the possibility they consider see what his asking price at least. -

That doesn't mean they want talk to him to find out if that is set in stone. -

Rapport just said the Ravens placed the non exclusive franchise tag on Lamar. -

You will have to place half this board on suicide watch and triple the security around BOA. There would be an epic meltdown for the ages. -

It's hard to guage anything this time of year. There's so much smoke out there right now. But the Panthers have kinda backed themselves in the corner on this qb search. I do not see how they get out of it without surrendering a butt load of draft picks. -
You better get some pepto ready.

REPORT: Panthers to aggressive pursue trade up to get a QB

I have a feeling the Panthers unzipped their fly too soon. I think I would have kept that comment about "doing whatever it takes" to myself. Now everyone knows they will pay any price to trade up. They are in a tough spot with negotiating a reasonable trade package now. -
It's looking more and more like Lamar is getting tagged.

Is there a scenario where Rodgers ends up in TB? I also thought I saw a mock draft somewhere the AR was drafted by TB in the 1st round. They are picking around 15 or 16 in the 1st I think. Saw another having him go to the Ravens. I presume that's because they thought Lamar would be out of Baltimore.

Like it or not Watson is a much better qb. Well he was before the rub and tug scandal and not playing for a couple of years thing. He still wasn't worth that much guaranteed money before all that. Lamar better take that offer and tell his momma to take a pill. What he really needs to do is get an agent. I would not touch him just on that fact alone. -
One can only hope. I wish they would magically find a way the flip Ian Thomas for a draft pick. I know, but it's my world and I make the rules.

Now do the guaranteed money. -
The Panthers would be wise to hold out for a bit to see who's in on the war before i started bidding. I'm sure they've set an offer on the table already. I would let FA play out before I made any other offer. The Bears are in a rush to make a deal as it's to their advantage. It's to our advantage to make them sweat a bit because they already know that the Panthers will have the best offer. Let them bring a better offer forward after we know who is actually in play and not speculated to be interested.
