Give me some of those 2023 draft picks.
-
To Tepper? Yes. I could get behind that.
-
This wouldn't be a bad strategy if they can pull it off.

They wanted Watson when Teddy was here. It's was always Watson regardless of who they had to settle for. They signed Darnold's option just in case he turned it around and it would be cheaper as Fitterer said, yes. But it did not and would not have stopped them from going after Watson. Sam would have been traded the second the deal was done with Watson had it gone that way.

Whatever qb they take a shot at I hope that it's the right one out of the group. They are going to have to work on all of them to get a starter out of them. I too hope they can come away with a potential LT and eventual starter at qb. I want another shot at one next draft as well. I'm a greedy bastard.

That's what's so confusing. If you are rebuilding you do it through the draft. You don't sign big name FA'S. In fact you do the opposite. You flip your expensive vets to acquire draft capital to go after a young qb and LT to build around on offense, cornerstones on offense. Same applies on defense. Which they've sorta done but not really. It's FUBAR.

Nah, I heard earlier we were picking at 7 so don't put any stock in what you hear. They will be lucky to get the teams name right.
-
That's a lot a darts to throw at talent. I like where your head is at.
-
Technically we do. He's currently the starting QB. What they are most likely looking to do is acquire another 2nd to compensate for what an utter disaster that pick turned out to be.

...2 dimes over a quarter as nippleshorts would say.

They would. Tepper sucks at pressers and should stay out of team discussions in public.

...where you believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see. -
Can he play LT? Sorry, had to do it.
-
Which they have been noticeably silent on throughout the entire fiasco. I guess we will learn the details surrounding that after Watson retires.

Willis is a long term enormous gamble. You would have to sit him for at least 1 season possibly 2 or more. In that situation you are dumping PJ while keeping Sam. You would also have to bring in a vet to put Sam on the bench or on the street. Or you keep Sam as the starter and PJ as the backup until Willis is ready. You will have to extend Sam or get someone else until Willis is ready, if he ever is. It will be the almost the same for any of these QB'S I'm afraid. -
Jeremiah's Final Mock: Panthers could think of trading UP?!

I have also. I keep going back to that oline video you posted a couple of days ago. I watched those guys movement and listened intently to the trainer on how he spoke about those guys and how they would probably project in the NFL. What caught my attention was how he often used the words RT for Cross and G for Neal. He also stated Penning was versatile but was projecting him as a guard. I never once hear him call any of them as a NFL LT unless I just missed it. Iky was not in the camp which I was disappointed with so I am now just not sure where these guys end up to be honest. -
I can attest to that. I have become more open with my thoughts and a bit of a loud mouth as I have gotten older. Not that my options matter to anyone, that's not why I do it. It's more of just not caring what others think of me and my thoughts. Sometimes you just have to vent when the mood hits you. Or when you hear someone say something idiotic, when is quite often around here.

Which network do you prefer to watch the draft?
Jon Snow replied to trueblade's topic in Carolina Panthers
Neither, so I flip back and forth. It's best if you watch it on mute. -

So he throws out several possibilities and then picks Cross. Nothing unexpected nor different than anyone else. Its a tackle or a QB from the pundits and every wannabe prognosticator out there.
