Draft, this team sucks at FA signing. They are no where near talent laden enough to sign a few FA's. I never understood the fascination with going after high priced FA's while this team flounders around in the NFL cellar. That is not how you build a team.

I considered them both to be possibilities to take a shot at one. I think one of those teams go hard for Aaron Rodgers. Both will probably sign a veteran as they are more attractive landing spots. All of them will be picked before the Panthers pick again so if they want one it's take him at 6. They also could do something stupid like trading future picks to jump back into the 1st somewhere to get their guy. That idea turns my stomach.

I wouldn't count on any of these guys being good to be honest. I mean one could turn out to be an all pro somewhere if he's lucky enough to land on the right team. But I doubt teams in the bottom of the draft are looking for a qb, else they would not be drafting that late. Personally I would go oline were it me calling the shots. But if I were I would have sent Rhule packing and let someone else make the call.

This team is a mess. There is no direction and zero accountability. It starts at the top.

I'm sure it is. It's going to be tough for this rookie to supplant the best long snapper in Panthers history. Especially since he was on IR his rookie season. I get trying to stash the rook because JJ is still the best for Christmas sake. But his contract ran out so I assumed it was the rookie no matter what. Hard to figure Rhule logic.

Brother I can tell you some divorce stories that will make your hair stand up. But seriously, I have walked in your shoes about 14 years ago. I had 2 kids and even though I went through hell it was even harder for them. But with 2 years of therapy for all of us and a great layer we prevailed. This place was my sanctuary back then. Those that once roamed the pages on this board kept me going. A few still haunt the place, much like myself. And to all of you who were there, I thank you. I completely agree that oline should have been the call if it wasn't QB. We had issues everywhere so I can't really bitch about going defense over qb, but it's different matter when it comes to oline. While I don't agree with their approach to building this thing I do think I see what they attempting to do...kinda. Hopefully this offseason will clear things up...or

An offensive lineman might have contributed, but not one of the qbs in the last draft would have changed the outcome of last season. It would have only served to make the fans feel better for a few games. It would have only been a Pacifier for the fans until Sam inevitably crap the bed. So I gotta somewhat disagree old buddy.

We know he was hand picked by Rhule to be the GM. That is not debatable.

That's not saying much. What was not said by those evaluators was whether any of those QBs had a chance to make it in the pros or could play at a high level worthy of the capital investment. Saying he's the best of a questionable class is not really saying he is anything special.
