I don't think it's impossible I guess. It did happen with L.Bell and ofc that didn't work out so well for him though but he did it. I mean not risking getting hurt playing for a team like that would make sense but lets say the Texans kept him and kept fining him all season. Then next season he is still under contract and he couldn't afford to do it again. It's weird b/c even other bad organizations don't get to this level so it's a bit unprecedented.

I thought most people liked what he was saying....funny you can always picture those types who say the equivalent of 'he's a big meany'. Looks the part for sure lol

Stafford trade agreement might be in place before the Super Bowl

Stafford trade agreement might be in place before the Super Bowl

If this team actually wanted Trubisky for anything other than a backup(even tho we have backups already) then lol this would clarify that the talent evaluation skills on this FO are shart and that TB signing wasnt' a fluke but the good draft was and then expect a trashcan draft. Can't imagine we'd do that as I think this FO actually can evaluate talent -
Matt Rhule continues to show why he's the right guy for the Panthers
Fox007 replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Err what "large portion" of the fanbase are they talking about lol. The main thing was a giant ? from the large portion not being upset or w/e. Also a large derpy part of the fanbase thought Rivera was a good coach so those people were upset that he got fired not much about Rhule though. I personally didn't say much about Rhule on here b/c I was in the ? department...didn't know enough to comment. -
If the Panthers land Stafford, it is win now, not rebuild
Fox007 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I actually don't think being ahead of schedule changes this at all. In business like Teppers mentality comes from it isn't and shouldn't change the other plans around that. You are always in the business of winning(making money) it's not like we were trying to go on out there and lose(see the WTF game). We're still in rebuild mode and if we actually have a winning record which we would have had this year too with a QB as good as Stafford then that's just something this team and fanbase and organization just isn't used to and that is called competence. -
IT was on CRAs radar cuz I was talking a bit of poo. And OFFC we are 1 and 2 lol. I never had a delusion that the NFL liked us I also think or remember a year where we had the least penalties in the season otherwise. Can't remember if it was 2015 though.

As if the players don't know they need a franchise QB to win. Not sure what you'd think would happen if someone said something to the players they themselves talk about offseason. "hey wish we woudla lost that game to get us a franchise QB" like what they would assault someone to get sued and imprisoned then suspended at best....lol I would have 0 problem doing that and have talked with former athletes about various sports scenarios. Bottom line is they think just like everyone else does off time but during the game they are going to try to win. Afterwards they talk the same as everyone else. There are even interviews on ESPN where people got their QB injured by not blocking it was a Detroit player. Yet if you were to say something like that on here the ignant to reality people would be like "NAAAAA dat not a ting" It fugin happened to Scott Mitchel. And is an even worse idea morally than losing a game for a pick. Not even to mention bountygate where the Saints risked their reputation(lol), picks, etc to hurt people on purpose. Starting Will Grier would be nothing compared to those situations and has legit room to be plausible as TB was never a long term solution and we have a 3rd round pick QB we haven't seen even though we know he sucks no one has seen that in a real game to solidify that yup that fool sucks.

It's a good point. Our offense is legit with him at QB and that is a selling point if you're Rhule talking to Stafford. Plus some of the compensation being speculated on there in his article is lower than what we could offer...Detroit has the power here not Stafford so it's about what Det wants in compensation. Stafford isn't going to retire if he got traded to Carolina...

Mike Remmers will start at left tackle in the Superbowl.
Fox007 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I know, I have an attention span and am not a part of the Tic Toc crowd of 3 seconds then oh shiny penny. But yea *puts on tin foil hat* the only Ws in the NFL come from da fixins where the illuminati control the world including football games. They answer only to the Stone Masons who actually actually control the universe including even the fugin weather here on Earth using HAARP. SHITS fugIN CRAZY. -
I don't know either but he is from Georgia and weather could play into it or the coach. He might not want to stay up in the cold which could limit it to SF/Miami...who knows if he is a west coast type of guy. Lots of stuff goes into it but Miamia has the #3 overall pick and is a worse team than us so I don't see how you're saying they are more playoff ready than we are.

LOL at the conspiracy flat earth style people. The Bucs have a better defense and the 5th ranked offense to KCs 1st. KC has the last ranked RedZone defense and and odd combination of a bottom tier pass defense but they are top 5 in interceptions. KC is 19th in sacks and Tampa is 4th. Tampa has the #1 rush defense in the league but we don't expect KC to run the ball and they won't be able to so this makes them 1D. KC still will be favored but the better complete team is Tampa and that type of front can win games nevermind having the GOAT QB. KC usually just outscores the other team and they can beat Tampa but if Tampa wins it's because they have the better roster and coaches who aren't Ron Rivera and some Mike Shula in their SuperBowl. -
AAAANNNND the simple fact that the Broncos collapsed literally right after that. NOTHING in all of sports is more sure to prolonged success than having a good-elite QB. Put another way....nothing will make sure that you fail long term than having a bad QB. All of those one off defenses that won a championship are just that...one offs that never had staying power. Tampa, Ravens, Broncos....that's not how you build it if you're trying to sustain success to go along with a SB win or even a dynasty.

Gantt weighs in on Deshaun Watson and Matt Stafford
Fox007 replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Stafford isn't even the win now approach as that term is usually applied. It just doesn't fug our first round picks going forward and gives us an actual QB for the next 5 years while we draft and groom a QB for the system Rhule wants to run as even the OC will be gone sooner rather than later. We will still draft a QB within the first three rounds with Stafford as QB. I would rather have either of those guys than a rookie 8th pick and Watson is worth 3 firsts I honestly don't see this current regime giving up more than that. I don't get the impression at all that Tepper/Rhule/Fitterer feel it's Watson or bust or that they aren't smart enough to get someone on their own. Would be interesting to see how much Hurney taught them about what not to do lol. Tepper didn't exactly sing his praises when we retained him and as poo as Hurney is Tepper is even less experienced so he even said he used this time to learn. I like a lot of what I've heard from this owner and that is independent of how it actually turns out. I've seen smart people make decisions that don't pan out and I've seen it a lot. The stuff he says and the way in which he has been conducting this isn't incompetent. -

I like how in this thread the article was saying that Watson isn't vastly...I can repeat for the Huddle since Huddle do what it do but *vastly* better than Stafford. And that is a true statement. Then we have someone posted stats that confirmed that and then said the opposite somehow lol. vast·ly /ˈvas(t)lē/ adverb to a very great extent; immensely. Then we had someone knock the idea of value rofl. This poo is always great. If we got Stafford for just one first round pick that is a much better deal than trading at minimum 3 first round picks. Given our new GMs take we would still be drafting QBs to develop while we had a hypothetical Stafford. We could also expect to see some trade downs given that we have a higher 2nd and 3rd round pick this year to get us more selections. As a Clemson fan I'd love to get Watson but it's just inarguable that Staffords price tag is a better deal and it's laughable at some of the trade ideas in addition to 3 first rounders that some on here have put forth. -
Not everyone is media savvy and he seems more like the back room geek type which is fine. If you were set up in front of a room full of people and cameras and asked questions about your job in a new building in a new city you just got to I wonder how you'd look. Basically everyone I know would look even more uncomfortable(myself included) than that and it doesn't have anything to do with their confidence or yes manness(yes i made that up). Also it's an empty room in this case which his bizarre and it's a different type of press conference. Wouldn't read too much into it.

Yea that and Joe Person is a chode like usual

Not only this but a shot at someone is actually saying something not saying nothing. It's beyond clear that the descriptor is action based. That's why it's taking/shot and not "oh he left his sidearm holstered at him"

The Past 10 years of First Round QB Drafting
Fox007 replied to CarolinaSunday's topic in 2025 NFL Draft
Yea like others have pointed out already this isn't saying anything without the data from the other rounds. I doubt the point is "it's hard to get a QB" There are only 32 starting QBs you wouldn't expect to see a starter who sticks around for an elite career every year in every draft much less just round one. There are only a hand full of elite QBs and then the same goes for just simply good. The dropoff from the Top 5 QBs to the next 5 is noticeable and from then to the next 5 is big then after that it's dramatic. So you're really looking at 15 players for comparison as no one is actually saying they want the 29th best QB from their RD1 draft pick. Good chart and interesting to see all put together though. -
Welp I love me some DW4 but if he goes to the Jets he pretty much derps himself out of sympathy for me and you get what you get at that point.
