Except Bryce doesn't play at 204, he plays at 175-185. Some scouts say he played around 185 while others says he started the season at 185 and dipped below 180 for a good portion of the season. If he played at 204, wouldn't be as big of a deal.

Two things he's got going for him, Panthers have an article up that the offense was designed for Young as were the free agent targets. The other is that the offensive line is pretty good when healthy. Will be interesting to see the offense in week one.

Hayden is going to have be his lifeline in the middle of the field. Need another te imo as well and a good slot WR that's reliable in the next few rounds.

DAY 2: Best of the Rest Big Board by Positions of Interest

They could also go for 3-4 end as well. -
I think Richardson wins that job year one. His tape isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Highest throw away % in this class, his pocket movement is exceptional. His ability to read defense and call plays is already there.. His mechanics breakdown because he hasn't had a ton of football reps.

Size is definitely a huge factor for athletic profiles and probability of success. If Young is successful, he will be the lightest qb ever drafted to have success.

REPORT: Anthony Richardson was Panthers QB #2

It might seem like I hate the pick, I actually don't hate the pick at all. Just super concerned about his size buy hopefully he is successful and becomes the exception to the rule -

Bryce led this draft class in generated pressure (pressure the qb is responsible for) Outside of his frame, that's the biggest worry next level. If he gets his weight up and it doesn't impact his Athleticism much or any then size isn't really a concern. -

If he actually was 200ish, It wouldn't be a problem but he isn't 200ish.. Heck he's not even 190ish like Alabama had him, he played between 170-180 and was 185 at the most. I know he's got all the tools as a qb, but his frame (not his height) is a major freaking issue. Murray, Wilson, Brees were all legit 210-220lb framed qb's. Young has a frame where maybe he can get to what Alabama had him listed at in a healthy way -
Already said they were going to do that. Lol Drafting a point guard qb allows them to spend less on offense and spend more on defense. Came right out of the owners mouth.

Dave Tepper has become a major asset for the Panthers

His height actually isn't my concern with him. His playing weight of 175-180 is my concern, that's too light in the NFL. If he can safely get to 205 ish or at least 200 safely as a playing weight that pick makes more sense. -
Not many first round graded players in this draft. I'd say most teams will have 14-15 players in this draft with 1st round value. Think that's why there was so many trades
-
I wouldn't be surprised if he falls towards the end of round 2. Hooker definitely goes r2 and over Levis imo.
-
Not surprised by the Texans trading back up to 3

I believe you and I know that Bryce is the pick, but I find it strange that an old school coaching staff and front office would want a 5-10, 175 ilb qb at #1 overall. Doesn't make any damn sense at all. If he was 5-10 and stocky that's a different story, but when he's at his playing weight, that's just scary in the NFL. -

To add to that, I still don't think this is a front office and coaching staff pick. -

My concern with Bryce and why I never thought he would be the pick is his playing weight at Bama was apparently 175to180ish and that is crazy for a first overall qb -
He got 5m more total contract value and 6m more guaranteed. My question is what is fully guaranteed.. Hurts had 179 guaranteed but only 110 was fully guaranteed.
-
5 year 260m Guarantee is 185m Just barely eclipse that ridiculous Jalen Hurts contract.
-
Best guess 5 years 275m 200m guaranteed

I've seen Stroud as #4 or #5 from some people close to certain teams. AR was #2 on the Panthers board. Stroud was #3 in a close battle with Levis. I would not be surprised if Stroud is the 4th or 5th qb taken in the mid teens. -

Why bring up levis then? I said I don't think he was ever in the conversation. -

I don't think Levis was ever in the conversation. I also don't think Stroud was either, despite the rumors that the coaches and front office didn't want Young at all and wanted Stroud. One such site that actually mentions that rumor is walterfootball. To add I 100% think AR was the original target in the trade up and Tepper nixed it.
