  1. I think we need some help at Defensive end and linebacker. But I generally agree, QB is priority 1.
  2. I would say the same thing about any of the powerhouse programs. It's really hard to get an accurate read on how good some of them really are given that they are on teams that have significantly more talent than the teams they play against.
  3. Agreed. The only thing we can really glean from this is that Snow and Rhule are gone. Actually, when reading what Tepper said, appears that Fitterer might have more power now. Panthers fire head coach Matt Rhule after 1-4 start to season (nfl.com) Rhule had to much power, and now the GM is going to have more input.
  4. Not really. The offense was terrible before he left, and terrible after he left. The Eagles, Giants, and Patriots games from last year were some of the worst offensive performances I have ever seen.
  5. Most of the clear cut consensus qb's don't pan out anyway. Baker Mayfield, Jameis Winston, the draft is littered with qb's that end up being overrated. Unless we can sign Lamar Jackson or someone similar, just got to hope for some luck.
  6. Maybe Cowher is finally ready to get back into coaching. lol
  7. Drafting a qb is a crap shoot. Doesn't matter what school said qb went to. Just got to have some luck.
  8. Rhule took a bad team and made it worse. Seifert took a decent team, and made it historically bad. But he help put some of the pieces in place that got us to our first superbowl, so its kind of a wash.
  9. The Panthers organization, owned by Tepper, is responsible for it. But it doesn't count against the cap, so its irrelevant to us.
  10. I think it was the fact that yesterday's game was virtually a home game for the forty whiners.
  11. If they go thru a four year period similar to the last four years we have had, they will be in the same situation.
  12. Maybe you are to young to remember the pre sean payton times. There were times the Superdome was a ghostown.
  13. We don't have a qb controversy. All our qb's are equally bad.
  14. Our offense is pretty bad, but I wouldn't call either of these teams' offense competent tonight. On their first four drives, the Bengals has 13 plays, 14 yards, and 4 punts.
  15. They are 2-2. They lost 11-10 to the Broncos. They will likely beat us today. But they still may not make the playoffs.
  16. What's to communicate. Rhule, lets run 20 consecutive pass plays. Mcadoo, ok.
  17. I doubt it will make much of a difference regarding wins, but it certainly wouldn't hurt.
  18. He is right. We ran the ball a couple of times to start the third qtr. We punted, and they tied the game at 10-10. After that, we passed the ball roughly 20 consecutive times. By the end of that stretch, we were down 26-16. 20 consecutive throws might work with Mahomes or Brady. It ain't working with Baker Mayfield.
  19. He will be targeted 6 times, two completions, 1 interception and three batted passes. Its the Panthers way.
  20. Offenses across the league are down this year, or maybe it just seems that way. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if our game on Sunday was in the neighborhood of 12-6, absent some defensive scores.
  21. The third qb picked in the 2017 draft was Deshaun Watson (great talent, terrible person) The third qb picked in 2018 was Josh Allen (the first two picked are both on our roster). The third qb picked in 2019 was, well he wasn't very good. The third qb picked in 2020 was Justin Herbert Trey Lance was #3 in 2021, and well, the jury is still out. It seems that some luck is involved in picking the right qbm but sometimes, being the third pick or a later pick might save the team from doing something like picking Sam Darnold.
  22. Maybe we need a coach who almost made it, or failed and was fired from one team, got out of the NFL for a while, and then came back and won it all. That has happened.
  23. Parcells made the Super Bowl in his second stint as a head coach with New England. Jimmy Johnson made the playoffs three of his four years with Miami. That being said, its difficult to repeat success as a Super Bowl winner. For that matter, its difficult to get to and win the Super Bowl The odds are stacked against any specific team and coach.
  24. He did well at getting the most he could out of Kaepernick, not sure that is the same as developing him. But I wouldn't be opposed to the hire, and I am certainly not a fan of Harbaugh.
