  1. I think that Steve Smith would probably have to have at least one maybe two rings to get in. A Superbowl MVP would probably help a lot as well. Or perhaps if he plays longer at a higher level than most think he will.
  2. I wasn't necessarily suggesting he would be the starter. But if and when injuries occur, it would be nice to be able to play Oher at right tackle, since Remmer seems more adaptable and might be better able to fill in at other spots.
  3. Didn't Oher do better at the right tackle? If Williams can play the left and Oher plays well enough at right, that would seem to solve our problems, at least temporarily. Of course, this could just be the coaches wanting to get more of the olinemen experienced at various positions in case of injury.
  4. Hard to form an impression of any player based on one clip from training camp. Truth is we won't know what we have in Oher or Alexander until a few games into the season.
  5. What is best in life. To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.
  6. I agree that we would not replace Star and KK at this stage. But I have no doubt that if the BPA when our pick comes up is a defensive tackle, there is a pretty good chance we would take him.
  7. ll us conservatives are busy working for a living while the leftist are in coffee houses posting things about the proletariat and saying power to the people. I kid, I kid. :)
  8. Saints are similar to us last year in that they are going to need the drafted players to contribute in their first year. Based on that contribution, they could end up being very good or very bad.
  9. Great thing for them to do. Not that it really matters, but I wonder if Mr. Richardson donated it from his personal income, or from the Panthers as a corporation? Or some combination of the two?
  10. Fwiw, I think Cutler could be good enough to win some games, in a conservative run oriented offense that Fox is probably going to set up. Playoffs might be out of reach if the other teams in the division stay healthy, but if Green Bay/Detroit struggle, then they might have a shot.
  11. Cutler, Clausen, and whomever else they have are not much worse than his first or second year in Carolina. Rodney Peete, Chris Weinke and some backup they signed that use to play in Europe.
  12. For a brief moment, I thought that Fox might have ask Jake Delhomme to come out of retirement.
  13. Never played organized football, but I did play a lot of basketball and baseball and we had some shoving matches and a couple of real scraps. Most of them were quickly forgotten. If its happening in baseball and basketball, then you know its going to happen in a physical sport like football. Deal with it and get over it.
  14. Jon Snow gets attacked, but then gets bitten by a radioactive spider.
  15. Just goes to show what playing college football for the right school can do for you. :)
  16. Don't agree about Ginn. Career wise, he has been a good punt returner. He didn't have his best year with us, but it wasn't bad. And no fumbles the entire year he was with us. He is probably our best punt returner since Steve Smith.
  17. I don't think they can keep the entire defense together. They are going to have to pick and choose which players they keep and hope that they can draft well enough to replace the ones they lose. In truth, that's the way it is with any really good team these days. A Marquee qb such as Brady can go a long way towards keeping a team consistent, but the team has to be good at putting solid talent around that qb (New England for example). Otherwise, you look like New Orleans did last year.
  18. I have no idea if he will make it in the NFL or not. He certainly has a good shot at it, but I don't buy the losing play-makers excuse. He still had more playmakers and overall talent around him than the majority of FSU's opponents.
  19. Only advice I can offer is look at smaller companies. Most of the bigger ones require specific skill sets. For example, one employer I know of has several positions open in information security, ranging from security architecture specialist to java programmers. All of the positions pay very well, but generally require that you have spent 5-10 years working in that specific area.
  20. IT is a fairly generic term. What area of IT do you work in? Network, desktop, software, some type of helpdesk position, or something else?
  21. But it will give the Huddle something to complain about when we lose a game by 1 when riverboat goes for 1 the whole game instead of two.
  22. I don't think it will mean that many more 2pt conversions. From the 15 will only slightly decrease the percentage of made extra points. From 99 to 98 percent or something along that line
  23. If we do, teams will adapt and after a little while, it won't work as well.
  24. Don't agree that they are the team to beat. The could be good this year but they have a 36 year old qb who was never as good as some Dallas fans thought anyway, and their premier running back has a history of injuries. Their top defensive end is going to miss half the season or more. They may get better this year, but they do have a number of question marks. Team to beat in the NFC is still Seattle until someone actually beats them.
