  1. Gasoline has a relatively short shelf life of 3-6 months. You might want to use it now.
  2. Colonial expects to restart full operations today.
  3. If we don't show much offensive improvement this year, the interviews will dry up.
  4. Understood, but the odds of getting someone for the practice squad with some real upside at this point is only slightly better than me winning the lottery.
  5. CMC will help, but I think until we see what the Oline can do, the main thing will be to get the ball out fast.
  6. I guess it would be 18 out of the last twenty or so. In fairness though, almost half of the had Tom Brady in them, so it does skew the results a bit.
  7. As far as Walker on the practice squad, to what end is obvious. If we need to bring our third string qb off the practice squad at some point, he is at least familiar with the system, and might give us a outside shot at winning if we just need him for a game or two. Of course, if we need him for more than two games, the season is probably shot anyway.
  8. On all three throws, he had a clean pocket. I just hope we can give him a lot of clean pockets this year.
  9. Personally, I enjoyed his commentary. But he is cold hearted at times.
  10. I don't remember enough of the assistants to really give an opinion. I will just go with Seifert. As far as worst player, if we are talking as a human being, the wide receiver who shall not be named.
  11. Don't know, we had some pretty bad drafts over the years. 97, we did get Minter who was good for us, and Mangum who had a decent career. But our first rounder that year was he whose name cannot be mentioned. And 98 was awful.
  12. I think we can safely assess Chinn as a success. Not quite as certain regarding Brown, but it certainly looks promising. The jury is still out on Matos
  13. The Saints tried it. Didn't go well. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell_Erxleben#Professional_playing_career
  14. Gano was probably the best fg kicker in the NFL last year. In fact, if you look at his numbers over the last four years, he has only missed four total fg's, and is 8 out of 11 from 50 plus yards. He did miss more than a year from injury though. But I doubt there are many kickers that could beat him as long as he is healthy.
  15. For some reason, this thread makes me think of an old Chris Ledoux song.
  16. He lost his buddy from Clemson for the year. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32077723/jacksonville-jaguars-rb-travis-etienne-likely-season-lisfranc-injury-source-says
  17. I am not sure we really are trading. I don't think we have enough evidence to say that one is more accurate than the other. To limited a sample size to be certain. But imo, they both throw well enough when they have time. But when Grier decides to take off, he doesn't throw much, while PJ tries to throw while running more often. This reduces his accuracy.
  18. Fwiw, Gano was probably the best fg kicker in the NFL last year as well. I would definitely prefer him over Slye.
  19. And PJ looked better against the Colts. In truth, both our backups looked better when they played in the first half, which might be due to the personnel they had around them. Fwiw, PJ is more mobile, which might be a necessity if our line is as bad as some think. But I agree with Zod. If Darnold goes down more than a game or two, we are looking at another long season.
  20. I decided to go back and search thru the 2019 articles regarding rookie qb's in preseason. Daniel Jones was rated higher in some articles than either Allen or Murray. Reason number 10,000 I don't pay attention to preseason numbers or results.
  21. I wouldn't play any veteran starters. A few series in a preseason game isn't going to have much of an impact on how they perform during the regular season, but some stupid preseason injury might.
  22. Probably has a lot to do with who was around them. We have looked bad in the second half both games. Haven't checked the snap counts, but I hope its because our third stringers aren't good.
  23. Gano was one of the most accurate kickers in the NFL last year. He missed 1 fg, a 57 yarder. He was 31 of 32. No chance this guy would beat out Gano unless they go with younger/cheaper.
