  1. Nice thing for your wife to do. But moving teachers doesn't solve the basic problem of supply and demand. I do think the issue will start to get better over the coming months though. My wife is a health care worker, and due to supply and some other issues, will not get her first shot until next week. Second will be in March.
  2. Counties don't have enough of the vaccine. The county I live in has had to reschedule several times to due to shortages or deliveries that didn't happen. Hopefully that will change in the near future. But we can't take vaccines away from others such as health care workers or those that are most vulnerable, to give it to teachers. So until there is enough vaccine, we are stuck.
  3. The NFL actually raised the minimum cap this year, although I am not sure how that will impact the maximum.
  4. I believe this is fairly typical. I doubt the Broncos have many left from their team. And I bet that within 2-3 years, the Bucs will have over a 50% turnover.
  5. I have no idea who new era is. Got to admit though I do find it amusing to watch grown men criticizing what other grown men wear. I thought that was a woman thing.
  6. I think part of it is our obsession with first round picks. Had Hurts been a top 10 pick, more fans would think Hurts will be the starter. I will be surprised if the Eagles take a qb, unless they get a good offer for that pick.
  7. Once it is stated on the internut, it is going to happen (or some people believe it will)
  8. Since Scarlett witch is going to be in the next Dr Strange movie, I imagine this will tie in to that movie. I wonder if we will see a Mordo appearance.
  9. I think we actually do have the most right now. Or at least close to it. But that will change over the next few weeks as players get released or retire (Brees?).
  10. No doubt the concerns are warranted. But then, if he could stay healthy, they would have to pay a lot more money.
  11. Perhaps, but personally I don't think its a bad deal. He played well, and the contract is cheap, and incentive laden. So if he gets injured next season and only plays two games, they owe him very little. Who might they have signed for such a small amount of guaranteed money that would be a better choice?
  12. This is Rivera's signing. There is no doubt of that. https://www.hogshaven.com/2021/1/22/22237406/martin-mayhew-officially-announced-as-the-new-gm-for-the-washington-football-team
  13. Regarding his contract, some of you over reacted. https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/details_revealed_of_taylor_henickes_two_year_extension/s1_16457_34077524#:~:text=Heinicke receives %24500%2C000 in guaranteed,up to %24500%2C000 in 2021. Details of Taylor H's contract. Year 1 1 million dollar contract, with half guaranteed. For the other half, he has to be on the roster Year 2 1.5 million Roster bonus up to 750,000. Its actually a pretty good contract for the team. And not a bad one for him as it is a lot more than he was making But to make the full amount, he is going to have to earn it.
  14. More likely that its 1.5 million per year, with a lot of incentives.
  15. I thought Band of Brothers got it right, although in fairness, they pretty much had it written for them.
  16. The story telling thru the first 6 or 7 seasons was fantastic. I am with the ones who say the ending wasn't as bad as some are saying. The primary problem with season 8 was that the focused more on big action scenes, without the story telling. And it was a little predictable.
  17. Bad oline play aside, Mahomes injury is definitely hurting him. Normally he escapes some of these.
  18. Its still early, but the difference in this game is that Tampa is playing defense, KC is not.
  19. Why is the NFL making all those receivers fall down? They must want Brady to win.
  20. I don't really care who wins. For the Buc's, its a rental superbowl. Don't blame them for doing it, but it doesn't really matter to me.
  21. In fairness, a big part of our 2020 dead money hit was Matt Kalil, and that was all Gettleman.
  22. I don't know that many parents with school age kids, as my son graduated college, and most of our friends are the same age as me. I do know 1 or 2 though that are excelling with remote learning. Fewer distractions, and they are not being bullied every day. So there are some advantages to it.
  23. Interesting thing for the Rams is that if SF ends up with Watson, the Rams will still have the third best qb in their division. Both Watson and Wilson are better than Stafford. And if Kyler improves, he might be the fourth best.
  24. 10 million is his cap number, but I am not sure he is actually making that. If I understand the way it works, his base salary is around 8 million, and the rest of the cap hit is prorated bonus that he was already paid, but is counted in 2021 for cap purposes. According to this, he is the 12th highest paid center in the NFL. A little higher than he should be perhaps, but not terrible. https://overthecap.com/position/center/
