  1. I read something today about a rumor that the Jags are considering moving on from Lawrence. I think its interesting, but I don't think its true (maybe even absurd). And doing so would be idiotic on their part. While he certainly hasn't lived up to the tank for Trevor hype, he is decent enough to stick with for a while. And getting someone better is a longshot.
  2. Last year he was 5-7 from 50 plus yards with a long of 56. He had a off year this year. That being said, if we move on, so be it.
  3. Agreed. We haven't had a great kicker since Gano, and maybe as far back as Kasay. We almost had one in Butker, but the front office at that time made some questionable moves.
  4. I agree, peoples reaction to him simply being seen in Charlotte is ludicrous. If he was even seen.
  5. Same here. And I am willing to see if Leggett can develop anymore before we spend a first rounder on another wide receiver, (especially when the defense needs significant upgrades).
  6. In fairness, we sacked him five times when we played. The difference was that when they didn't sack him, they still played good cover defense, kept him from breaking off major runs, and got some turnovers. If we are ever going to challenge for a Superbowl, the defense needs to improve across the board.
  7. This. The Eagles have drafted better than us and done better than us in free agency. Although in fairness, they have drafted better than virtually every team in the NFL.
  8. They said it was a "network services" issue. Pretty generic term. Its probably some kind of code or database upgrade that went haywire. Or less likely but possible, they got hacked in some manner.
  9. Well, he would seem to be the answer to our YAC (Yards After Catch) problem. That being said, he probably doesn't want to come here, and I am not sure he would be what we need.
  10. Bryce and the offense's worst game after he resumed started was the Dallas game, primarily because they were getting pressure up the middle. If you get pressure up the middle and the opposing qb is not Michael Vick, the defense is going to have a good day.
  11. I think the Chiefs made a conscious decision to focus on Barkley, and while they shut him down, they paid a defensive price for it as they go crushed by Hurts and the Eagles receivers. Although the turnovers hurt a lot.
  12. It is somewhat appropriate in a season with sort of a defensive resurgence, the team with the best defense won the game.
  13. I agree, but I will say that the eagles built a team the way we would probably need to, in order to win a SB.
  14. Jalen Hurts will be the MVP as he is the qb of the winning team. But the Eagles defense dominated the game until the last 8 minutes or so. They should be the joint MVP.
  15. Ironically, we had one of our pass rushing performances of the year against the Chiefs.
  16. A lot of teams have that strategy, executing successfully is the difficult part.
  17. Taylor Swift is not happy right now.
  18. I can't imagine trying it with Bryce.
  19. So far, the Eagles look laser focused, while the Chiefs look slow.
  20. Not saying there is no difference, but the majority of the eagles key players have been in the playoffs and the Superbowl. Hurts, Smith, Brown, Johnson, 3 out of 5 starting oline, etc... have all been there before. Barkley hasn't, but not sure it will matter with him. I mean its not like they are playing us.
  21. Not sure the difference is that great. KC has a little more experience, but its not like Philly experience is non existent. Fwiw, I think that both teams have great defenses. KC has a better qb, but Philly has more offensive talent all around. Could come down to special teams.
  22. I think its going to be a defensive struggle, with KC winning 20-13 or thereabouts.
  23. Jake actually had a pretty good run from 03-05, when he was middle of the pack ratings wise. His rating in 05 was top 10 in the NFL. He fell off quickly after that, but John Fox just couldn't bring himself to admit it.
  24. I agree. I think a big part of the problem though is that the number of people who be generational (elite) qb's in the NFL is exceedingly small and its difficult to accurately judge that ability because, among other things, the talent disparity in teams. Arguably the two best qb's in the NFL right now (Allen and Mahomes), while certainly well known, weren't called generational talents in college. If Mahomes had played for Alabama, he would have come into the NFL with more hype than Lawrence. But he played for Texas Tech and got drafted after Mitch Trubiski.
  25. Clemson had a much superior lineup to virtually any team they played they played in the regular season. Having a lineup that good makes a good qb look great, and a below average qb look average. In Lawrence's last season, Uiagalelei went 1-1 and scored 40 in a loss to Notre Dame while Lawrence was out with injury.
