  1. Agreed. That being said, Reich will likely be under a lot of pressure to start Bryce, but I hope he ignores it and does what he thinks is best.
  2. He is a competent college qb. We won't know how good of an NFL qb he is until he starts playing.
  3. Has any team that was reasonably assumed to have tanked ever won a Superbowl? The Dolphins probably tanked, and it hasn't done much good. The Eagles coach may have tanked (and did get fired). I suppose you could say they made the SB, although they made it with a second-round pick at qb.
  4. Does make me wonder though, if NCSU's oline was this good a couple of years ago, why was their run game one of the worst in the ACC?
  5. If Payton was still coaching the Aint's and with Carr at QB, they would likely win the division. With their current staff, the odds are against them. We might win it, if Young is as good as advertised. But that is a big if. Atlanta might win it if Ridder becomes a solid qb. He looked decent in very limited pt last year. Tampa has a long road ahead of them, but they do have a SB trophy to enjoy.
  6. Well, now that Matt Rhule is no longer in the league, it might be hard to find someone to take him.
  7. My pool looked like that a couple of years ago. You may want to try some flocculent. Worked for mine. And if it hasn't been done, check your phosphate level. Sorry, guess someone else already suggested the floc. But it might help. Put it in, run the recirculation for the recommended time, then just let it sit for a while. All the crap coagulates and sinks to the bottom and you just vacuum it up.
  8. Nah, if we pick him and he has a good and long career for us and wins a SB, then Stroud's success will be irrelevant to most of us.
  9. From what I read here, Buffet lines had a lot to do with that. Of course, posters here might be a tad bit biased.
  10. Personally, I hope we take Stroud, but if we take Young, then I hope he has a fantastic career for us. I also will be glad when this is over and we can move on to arguing about who we should have picked, instead of arguing about who we should pick.
  11. Maybe that is why so many of them fail. Being thrown in before they are ready
  12. Maybe, but the main concern imo should be to start the rookie when he is mentally ready. If the coach decides that is the first game, so be it. But him being the first overall draft pick shouldn't matter. If having him him carry a clipboard for a few games is best for his longterm development, then that is ok
  13. He should have been. He is probably the best qb drafted in the last 20 years, probably better than Stroud or Young and was a top 10 pick. And didn't start for a year. If the coach believes he is ready, so be it. If it takes a few gamed, or evena full season, that is ok as long as he eventually becomes a good QB.
  14. I agree. In truth, we could pick from any position group other than QB, and it would be a big help if the pick turns out to be a solid player.
  15. Its difficult to know how good they will be until we start playing. On paper, they should be better, but qb is a big question mark.
  16. How many people, when they go out in Charlotte, take a cab? I doubt many of them do.
  17. Great first game. Hated to see either one of them lose. Miami is not getting off to a great start. 7 points in 8 minutes.
