  1. A former agent was saying that if someone turned down two firsts for his client, he'd expect the team to offer highest paid DE money, topping the deal TJ Watt signed. I love Burns, but I'm not sure about giving him that.
  2. Brown completely whiffed on a scan protection for a big sack on PJ late in the game.
  3. You left out "flat out"...
  4. Brandon Staley was a DC before he got the Chargers job, but you seem to have listed him among offensive-minded coaches if I'm reading your list right.
  5. About half the league has 3 wins or less. It's way too early to be worried about draft position.
  6. One of my preseason hot takes was that the winner of the NFC South would have a losing record.
  7. Tanking just takes some of the sting out of losing/being a terrible team. It promises pain today for joy tomorrow that may never come. Winning is so much better. Enjoy the wins, hope for better when we lose.
  8. It's hard to draft a QB period. Alot can happen between now and April to both any individual players draft stock or our record. PJ and Wilks could be a really good/fun story.
  9. We keep looking for the next Cam (it's a big part of why people wanted Fields). NE will keep looking for the next Brady. Guys like Cam and Brady cast long shadows.
  10. Indy getting in on the Stroud/Young sweepstakes?
  11. I don't care if you can guarantee me whichever QB we take at one will be an MVP type of guy. I can't root for us to lose to Atlanta. I just can't do it.
  12. So why not make the change the week before when PJ was starting against LA?
  13. 4 yrs / 112M / 80M Guaranteed. That's TJ Watt's deal (the current highest paid DE). That's the starting point. Are you comfortable giving Burns that?
  14. Tanking, for me, was always a salve for losing. Winning is so much better.
  15. Joel Curry is a former agent: I love Burns but I'm not prepared to make him the highest paid Edge in the league.
  16. And the Chargers already run Payton's offensive system. Their OC , Joe Lombardi, brought it over from New Orleans. Seamless transition for their playmakers.
