  1. Also, hearing Cosell call Brian Burns "Gumbi" makes me happy for some reason. lol
  2. I hate billy marshall, but i love me some ellis. Also Cosell is a fantastic analyzer of talent.
  3. That slight about the champs in Tampa, talking about the hockey team. lol
  4. Go to Panthers Youtube channel, they always have these on live. As far as Rhule and his comments about what Teddy said, he took the high road, said he's sorry teddy didn't see it that way, but he's not going ot talk about about former players and he's not going to divulge their process about what they practice and don't practice.
  5. No amount of lying will mask his 15 month old infant powered arm. I see some truth in his words, Brady is a first year coach, could be true that they never did practice much of that, I mean look at the games, terrible red zone results and much worse 2 minute drill results. I think it's half and half.
  6. Ah, just saw it posted by Mr.Scot. Lock it up. My bad. lol
  7. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/05/11/panthers-trying-out-quarterback-kevin-thomson/ Didn't see it posted. If it is, lock it up mods.
  8. Sam...redhead irish guy leave the color green? Good luck with that. lol
  9. lol I don't' get the disdain for Fields...Jesus.
  10. So what he's saying is he's getting more than just 2 games to prove himself? Who woulda thunk it.
  11. I was watching a lot of his highlights and my god this dude is criminally underrated. He's athletic, high point catch type of guy, red zone threat, BALL SNATCHING, YAC, Striding, profiling, SOB. Damn!
  12. The thing is people will always associate that 2nd rounder for him. It's literal peanuts. If he doesn't work out, the foundation is already here for a QB that will be here. A stout D, a decent line, weapons. The thing about this coaching staff that makes me not be as apprehensive is that they realize this and are laying the groundwork to work for that Elite QB. So it could be via trade, Draft, I don't know. But the foundation is there. This is why I wish they would have taken Fields, but they are banking a lot on what they can do and Darnold's potential. This brass is literally washing their hands, it's up to Sam, as you are eluding to. Personally I'd give him a full season, set a goal, and if he meets that goal, you have a great sample size with the crew you have now and then you make the decision if he is your guy or not. He's essentially playing for his job starting now. But doesn't have the pressure of someone being behind his heels (fields if it were my choice), so it's up to him to succeed.
  13. Fair enough, but this 2 game window is not ideal when you're trying to figure out if this person you just acquired is the fit for your system and can flourish. The other side of the coin, if he does amazing, you gonna have that 2 game window are are you going to think, nah, let's give it more time? If you mindset about Darnold is that you do not want him here or he was a waste of a 2nd round pick then it won't matter how many games he plays, that mentality will follow no matter what he does. It's not an objective amount of time at all to see if he is it or not. Especially learning this system. Things like this take a full season at least to see if he is it or not. Believe me if by game 10 he's 1-9 with a high Pick ratio, dude you can bet your ass he's gone. 2 games...I don't think so chief.
  14. He can have any # he wants as long as he brings that heat.
  15. On paper, this class is one of the best ever. Regardless of Sam panning out or not.
  16. If he goes to WFT I don't blame him. Familiarity is a good thing. Can't get mad at him for doing what he loves with people he's familiar with.
  17. lol you'd want Darnold over a HOF QB that would instantly get us to a Championship game with this ROSTER? Some of you all are delusional af.
  18. I didn't realize that Marshall's percentage for 1 on 1 jump balls is 80%...that's ridiculously high. Look at him being the Red Zone target. Something we've needed so much for so long. It's crazy when you sit down and think about it how perfect this pick was and how amazing it was with the team going back in the second and STILL getting him. Reminded me of those Draft simulators and you have this player you think you can get but you trade back to see how far you can go down before getting him. It literally played out like that. Essentially we got 2 starters in the first two rounds, for sure. Potentially 4-5 starters if some of them do well in camp and beat out people.
