  1. I’ll pull for whoever they pick but it’s damn frustrating to constantly hope player x “breaks through” when he is an 1st or 2nd round pick.
  2. Nice observation. Minus the Super Bowl we basically have the same owner. We drafted Bryce and he was terrible his first year (has gotten better please don’t skewer me). We made a an unreal trade (although we gave instead of got. We could have made another trade to get more for Burns but the idiots in charge failed to execute but lo, I digress) and our owner, who is also pretty dumb, has been cursed by himself. I think the big difference is JJ hired a good coach out of the gate instead of a car salesman which point the ship for a while. Thanks for the perspective and allowing my musings.
  3. I think we saw enough evidence from Bryce to say that development is happening. Not sure of ceiling but time will tell. Legette showed he can play but needs work and refinement. I hope they both make jumps. I think many others such as Mingo fall into the category as not panning out and probably fall into the “turd” category.
  4. Pied this post cause I think counting Ian Thomas and Inch Sanders as contributors is extremely generous and kind hearted of you.
  5. I give Morgan some wiggle room probably more because I have fond memories of the player and it is jaded to some degree I like XL but he needs to catch balls. I think Morgan’s best gets last draft were signing Coker and then getting Jackson in the 7th rounder swap. Basically your 7th round pick and your UDFA performed at levels where you would expect your 1 and 2 round guys to perform. If you couple that with ur 1st rounder being meh and ur second rounder on sabbatical for the near future, it looks kinda iffy.
  6. I’d call Matt Rhules wife and just ask her. It’s Miller Time!
  7. Kick the tires, but how much is too much? Draft should be deep with DT which makes me hope we don’t overspend for a stop gap.
  8. I’m all for taking BPA. A trade back to accumulate more picks would be great. I might not be in love with the BPA we pick, but this roster is at the point where you just gotta take the medicine and deal with the after taste.
  9. I’m sold and would be satisfied if he ends up here. Seems to check all the boxes.
  10. I like Bryce and want him to do well and hope a year from now I’m regretting this but no way would I do it. Despite recent history he has more bad tape than good tape from a pro football perspective.
  11. There is some justification to this given our recent history. I would avoid if surgery is warranted. Seats get hot quickly in Teppers playhouse.
  12. If the coaches are taking the seats then probably not a lot left for the players. DT just needs to drop a bag or 20 and make it happen. Alternative is NFL buys 16 planes and splits cost between 32 teams. Everybody gets a tax write off? Rent out the planes in offseason to defray costs? Probably a bit out of core competency but Roger is capable. ish.
  13. Tepper can buy a used 767 for an about 9 million (googled this. Cause I didn’t see any listed on FB marketplace) Add another million or 3 in for reconditioning and retrofitting for large man comfort and the ownership and team travel grades jumps to the top of the list.
  14. Same thought. I think they probably want to keep Jackson but the numbers may end up being prohibitive. I like him but don’t want to pay too much.
  15. I get having some extra cash but dropping a 50 mil contract on BC will likely get someone fired.
  16. I think we need to go BPA in the 1st and ideally (for me at least) that ends up being some dude on defense that can stop a guy from running, throwing and/or catching the ball. But if that isn’t the case, I can and will learn to live with it and won’t complain unless it’s a long snapper, RB and possibly a QB, punter or kicker. Cause we desperately need a guy, any guy that is great at his position no matter which side of the ball he is on.
  17. One thing Dave Gettleman said that will stick with me forever is “don’t shop hungry”. That is a sound philosophy. I think shortly thereafter he exiled Josh Norman, panicked and drafted three corners, two of which were irrelevant and I forget their names but the philosophy is sound nonetheless.
  18. No arguments from me. That regime would have made out better if they had outsourced the meatballs and let Rhules wife run the draft.
  19. I have no ill will towards him but a broken clock is more accurate than Hurney. He could nail a first round pick but it was downhill after that until the following April.
  20. Not big on any RB early. I think QB is off the board unless it’s a late round developmental player which is good, but any other prospect would have an impact although the baggage with Hunter may be prohibitive.
  21. Bryce is a great young man and I’m happy his trajectory is pointed in the right direction.
  22. my aging and feeble mind was convincingly decided that he was first ballot. Thanks for the update.
