  1. A rookie Kenny Picket behind this OL = Sam Darnold behind this OL. Don't get me wrong, I think Pickett can be a good player at the next level but I don't see him being able to flourish here with what is currently in place.
  2. In my opinion both are solid options and it should not be viewed as one or the other.. Players trades: Two big names to trade would be CMC and Anderson. If we can get 2nd/3rdish and wash away those contracts it would be good to clean that up. Free Agency: I wouldn't bet on FA for starting OL guys but if you could get a solid G who is a huge step above Eflien and Erving you do it. If you have one of those slots filled things will not be as dire as they are now. Also don't know what Deonte Brown can do. If Brown can make an impact you have more flexibility. I don't think he goes from sitting out an entire season to being the starter next year. So I think best case scenario is you have a guy you can rotate in that isn't a turnstile. Draft Trade Down: I think you have to see how the board shakes out and what happens in free agency. Right now I think you have to go with either the best LT you can get at 6 or trade down and snag an interior lineman in the 1st. If we can trade down and acquire more picks in the process it would be ideal so long as we address the OL early with guys that are ready to play. Now watch Rhule burn 2023 draft capital and trade up 2 spots for Pickett...
  3. We could trade Rhule for a conditional parking attendant.
  4. John Coleman. Named the lobby after him so why not give him the credit. Realize the players play hard and the fault doesn’t necessarily lie with them but I am disappointed with the team as a whole so I want to go in a different direction.
  5. Yeah. As bad trades go, Gilbert was far worse but this ranks pretty high. And had we drafted Jones or Fields we would be calling them busts right now. This OL would have them on a Darnold like trajectory.
  6. Yes. And the panthers have 18 million reasons to start Darnold.
  7. The team is playing poorly. Should he have said it and mentioned names? No, but it does gives us a reason to overreact and behave like 5 year olds so I’ll take it.
  8. He didn’t throw it to the other team. So I guess it’s a good thing.
  9. A drunk Panther fan hires hookers to go to Rhules hotel room to trigger one of those unforeseen circumstances Rappaport was talking about. Ultimately the plan fails and Rhule looks like a victim to further cement his 2022 job.
  10. Forgot all about the 3 hour stay of execution. I can now leisurely finish painting my bathroom before joining the mayhem that is the game day thread.
  11. All of the grave circumstances are totally transparent. Rhule needs to make a kid cry or something cause he’s already screwed the pooch on everything else.
  12. I’ll continue to watch and if I get down and need uplifting I will come to the huddle for some positive messaging.
  13. Some processes don’t take very long at all.
  14. I usually have homer glasses and I can only see 4 if we split with ATL. “A pessimist thinks things can’t get any worse. An optimist knows they will.” Not sure who that quote is credited to but it is very appropriate for our beloved Panthers.
  15. I’m in total agreement with this. I think if we had done that the board would have imploded in the summer rather than September/October but you would still have picks and some substantial pocket money. Instead we got Sam.
  16. There are big mis-steps for sure. I think hiring Rhule was a mistake. I believe hanging on to him for another year will also be a mistake. IMO he is a new owner making some bad decisions. But I’m not ready to brand him a bad owner. Yet… As far as trust, I don’t think it matters whether I trust him or not. He’s the owner and I’m a fan. I will be happy when things work out and be pissed when they don’t. My situation is different than many though, as I seldom get to attend games. If I were going to the stadium consistently, I would definitely be re-evaluating the financial investment.
