Where do you fall on the Bryce Young spectrum?
Donald LaFell replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s more fun when the team wins but they have to move on from him. You can’t go to a SuperBowl when your qb can’t elevate the team around him. -
The cowboys and dolphins are some of the worst run defenses in the league. Someone not in the cellar like them will be an adjustment.

This has to be bitached about, those biased refs
Donald LaFell replied to Basbear's topic in Carolina Panthers
The amount of players I’ve seen touching the refs lately keeps bringing that up from my memory. I always assumed that was a no tolerance policy but I guess not. -
I love seeing my football team win two games in a row but I’m pretty jaded from the Tepper era so I’m just expecting it to all fall apart each week. Much safer. it’ll be exciting to see if Bryce can get the road monkey off his back and if the run game maintains it’s dominating pace aghast a team that isn’t poo at run D.

How Bout Some Love to the Rookie kicker?!
Donald LaFell replied to Castavar's topic in Carolina Panthers
Slye kicked a game winner for the Commanders this year. Pretty cool. -
Not really expecting any of those guys to move the needle that much but grateful for the depth. Really hope Coker can make an impact but I feel like we will not really throw the ball enough to see an impact.

They said on the podcast last week that the run blocking was so good that the RB grade wouldn’t reflect the production. I can understand the rationale.
-
I’m so jaded this seems like the likeliest scenario.

The last few years this team has been the “get right” game for middling or bad teams. Getting false hope from wins is still better than losses.

It’s funny I associate this with the Sopranos impression of the godfather more than the actual movie

Where in the world did this run D come from?
Donald LaFell replied to Eazy-E's topic in Carolina Panthers
It’s still better than last year so far. I don’t think anyone is expecting a long run of wins but the team last year wasn’t capable of an upset last year. I’m elated for the players to have anything to build on period. Even if Young/Canales are gone I hope this is a sign of the young talent working out here -

I think more talent and things are clicking but who knows. Maybe having Wallace as the Mike as helped too -
Regardless of who is better or starter I hope they can give Dowdle a break

Official Week 6: Cowboys @ Panthers Gameday Thread
Donald LaFell replied to rodeo's topic in Carolina Panthers
XLs lateral was worse than that 06 lateral, at least then the coaches told them to do it -

Damon Stephen A. Bryce, It is time
Donald LaFell replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
10 mins is a lot, I just don’t think I can stand to hear them go back and forth. Would be easier if it was on the radio in the car lol. -
Morgan, Fields and Witherspoon were pretty good, I think they were together for 02 and 04 the rams overpaid Witherspoon and tried him at MLB which wasn’t his best place to be. We should have paid a premium to keep him and let Morgan walk. We did the same thing with Beason when it was clear he didn't have much left in the tank too. Those sentimental Hurney contracts always paid players for past performances
-
He really felt like a connection to the past more than others.
-
Yeah the defensive additions have really helped. Still a long way to go but under the right conditions they can look competent.
-
Based on his career earnings this doesn’t seem that bad. As long as he’s prudent elsewhere. I’m not sure when he bought the home.
-
Will Witherspoon deserves better praise than that. We should have kept him over Morgan when it was obvious Morgan’s body wasn’t going to hold up.
