  1. To expand on my earlier post, an RPG set in WWII, modeled after a Fallout/Elder Scrolls/Dragon Age would be the poo. I doubt you could have the same depth to the game and crazy amounts of missions, but it would be fun.
  2. My biggest thing with Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, etc. was the short campaign. Online play took over, and maybe those don't translate as well with the WWII theme? I'd kill for a WWII game that had crazy amounts of gameplay hours.
  3. But Fat Alice is gone...who will play the role of Piggy now?
  4. I'm at the point where I love holidays solely for my younger family members. I hid eggs today for my little cousin, but other than that? Meh. I'd rather just go do something fun than exchange fake thank yous and gifts the family feels forced to buy each other.
  5. I wouldn't care for it on the surface, but there's always going to be that lingering feeling that something can happen to TD, so I could understand it.
  6. @zgcampbe I'll just rant during basketball and football games and make the occasional okay joke
  7. I agree that I could see Chip taking him at 20...but nobody else before us at 25. I don't think he'll fall to us in the 2nd, and frankly I wouldn't mind a trade up for him if he's falling to around 50 or so.
  8. One of my biggest regrets looking back is not going into "First Year College" at State. I'm happy with my chosen path (for now), but I constantly rethought my decision all throughout my college career, and it was always too late in my mind to switch. Take the first year to do nothing but basic requirements, explore options, think about poo.
  9. Wait...you expect more than a few on the Huddle to understand how waivers work?
  10. As others have said, what does it hurt? Gettleman got a 2nd round OT for cheap. Has he lived up to expectations? No. But if he comes in, gets comfortable in our locker room? Hell he can at least be a cheap depth signing, with the reward of possibly asserting himself as a starter and showing off the talent that got him drafted. Side note that would never happen....the Panthers would be one helluva pick for Hard Knocks.
  11. I love having Tolbert solely for short yardage plays...though he struggled in that role compared to 2014 immensely. Granted, some OL issues were partly to blame. I don't think I'm willing to risk a Stewart injury on 4th and 1 or 2...or Cam for that matter no more than we have to. Tolbert stays this year IMO. As for Cotch? Could be a camp casulaty, if we bring in Jennings. I also don't see Harper being cut considering his mentor role for the still young secondary.
  12. Well, in all fairness we did trade picks to come up for Bene. Jumped 20 spots or so I do believe.
  13. 2015. Basically, awesome news and more than I was expecting. Especially with the news that Hardy could be in for a long suspension, and not net us the comp pick next year that was expected. Now, more options are there. Package our 5th or 6th to move up and grab a guy Gettleman loves. Or just draft extra guys/take a chance on a guy falling.
  14. I read it hoping he means me. Excited.gif
  15. Me...I'd like to be the JJ Jansen of the Huddle. Not special, I'm just kinda here.
  16. Cotchery went for 580 yards and 1 TD last year...I don't think it's too crazy to think Jennings can go for 700 yards, and 3 or 4 TDs. KB - 1,000 Olsen - 900 Jennings - 700 And then throw another 1,000 or so between Philly, Ginn, and a draft pick, unless it's Strong who I'd expect more from. AT WORST, Jennings comes in and is a better version of Cotchery. If he's a low-end #2, so be it, it's better than what we had. And that's without the draft where we may luck into a guy like Strong. That's still a major upgrade over throwing Bersin and Cotchery on the field together.
  17. That Good Charlotte tweet gave me the strangest boner. Side note, I'm now questioning Mr. Jenning's iTunes choices.
  18. Monsta wins the thread. His posts should be pinned for everyone to read come draft time every year. Though, as usual, common sense and explaining tiered BPA/Needs and how a person with a lick of sense thinks, will never be understood by some.
  19. Voth saying not officially a Panther...though could be done by the end of the day. Get it done, GMan. I'd really like this signing.
  20. I've honestly talked myself into being okay with Gurley...even in the first if Getts decides to go that route. Now, if Strong or a top OT is still there I may question it....but give me Gurley in the 1st, Fisher in the 2nd (trade up even whatever it takes), and the best WR or pass rusher in the 3rd and I'll love it.
  21. I was actually pumped when we drafted him, because he was such a highly projected guy the year before. Good player, great during the 12-4 season. Has a Huddle account. Hogwarts. No Spoon. I always wavered on giving him a long term deal because well, he's slightly insane. But now? He's a Cowboy. Go play to earn us a 3rd rounder...but don't play well when you see the Panthers again.
  22. The more I think about it, the more Gurley could make sense for us. Again, I preface this by saying probably not in the 1st round. But, with our running based offense...imagine if Stewart gets hurt again in training camp. Fozzy is the starter. While promising last year, our offense would more than likely be a train wreck (more so than usual). Draft Gurley, roll with Stew/Gurly/Tolbert, Cam, Olsen, KB, and another drafted WR....it at least sounds decent on paper. Especially if Gurley returns to form of the Top 5 RB he seemed destined to be before the knee injury. And not to mention we'll need a proven beast for this offense when Stewart gets cut (it's happening because of the cap hit). My God, I'm talking myself into a RB. Somebody stop me.
  23. And a good chance two of those guys, (Stewart and Tolbert) aren't on the roster in 2016 because of their contracts. In the first? Hell no. In the 2nd? Tempting. The 3rd? All day. He'll probably go in the 2nd, but gotta cover all bases. Trade down scenario could happen for all we know...and if Gurley is the BPA with our current backfield in question beyond this year...I wouldn't hate jumping on him in the late 2nd if he's clearly the best guy left.
  24. It's not going to happen, but I do wonder what it would take to trade for a Kuechly/Watt type guy. 2 1st rounders? 3? An entire draft's worth of picks? Would be interesting to see a deal like that go down one day. Just not with any Panthers.
