Kelvin Benjamin - The Right Pick

Recommended Posts

I has read that he is quick out of the breaks and gets separation, he doesn't have great straight line speed but that is why we have underwood and I expect we will pick up another faster smaller receiver today or tomorrow.  We need a possession receiver like Moose who could block and catch anything close to him.  That is what we have in Benjamin.  At his size I can't imagine trouble getting off the line.

Ive read the opposite, slow out the gate but is able to pick up speed after getting some head of steam.

Guess we all need to feel important lmao

Guess that is why you keep posting the same comment in every thread.  You are the George Castanza of the Huddle....you think if you say it enough time, it becomes the truth. :P

How is Robinson a reach?

6'2

4.5

1,400 rec yards

Nice YAC ability

High points

Cyrus was already cleared by THE doctor for the NFL.

Robinson may still be there when we pick in 2nd round. It wouldn't surprise me if he slips to the 3rd round.

Jarrett looked good in college.....but he was still slow in college off the line. Jarrett had near identical size heading into the NFL.

KB's speed comes after he is downfield. He is slow off the line and out of the gate.

I do think he is perhaps more physical.....so hopefully that will be the key difference into him being able to be successful here.

Well you do have a good point on this one - there wasn't really much left in regards to 1st round talent IMHO. Didn't want Lee, Didn't want Cyrus. Bitonio and Robinson would have been reaches at 28. Wouldn't have hated a Morgan Moses pick .

That is very accurate.

There were no picks that did not have question marks about them.

We could have gone another WR like Lee or Robinson...but both also have ??

There was no top OT on the board.

1st had a run on CB's and those would be a strech.

We took the highest rated player on our board....and yes, he does have weaknesses and question marks.

So what you're saying is that Gettleman took the BPA and a player that fit our needs? Not trying to give you too much of a hard time, but being so pessimistic about a WR pick with a ton of upside because of a few question marks is absurd. All WRs selected in the first round have question marks. Just the way it goes.

Why didn't any other team draft him in the first? I wouldn't be too upset if we got him with our 2nd rounder as long as Moses isn't available.

I gotcha dude...I just wish someone would have picked him before we did. I guess I would have rather had him than MLee.

Why did teams pass on Brady or any other great talent past the 1st round?

When you say someone is a reach you need to be able to say why, not just that people past on him.

Right..I still don't care for the pick but it looks like our hands were kinda tied. Hopefully Dollar Tree Dave kills it in the rest of the draft.
