The Futureeeeeee

Take a moment and just try to imagine what type of red zone team we are..

Seriously.. Shut your eyes, take a deep breath.

Touchdown, jump ball, KB13

Touchdown, bulldoze..Tolbert

Touchdown, phenomenal QB with the jump over the end zone, ..Caaaam

Now open. How was your wet dream?

I think people are missing this.  Last year, we STRUGGLED to throw in the redzone.  Smith lacked the explosiveness he used to have  in order to free himself up in the redzone; despite being 6'2, Lafell played like a much smaller WR and also lacked the burst to get free quickly.  How many redzone situations did we have last year when we were forced to try Tolbert or Cam running it in, because our guys couldn't win short range 1 on 1 matchups? That is probably the TOP reason we lost the playoff game vs San Francisco.

Now you add KB13 who had 15 touchdowns in college, Cotchery who had 10 touchdowns for the Steelers, and Dickson who is a large receiving TE, and our redzone threat just increased tenfold.

First one not a TD in the NFL.

Because I'm sure in the split second of making a spectacular highlight catch, he thought "better get my second foot down, even though I don't need to, so OKPanther knows I can make sideline catches in the NFL".

I'm just imagining how a defensive back will feel seeing this coming at him.

My guess is that they would feel something in between what they feel when they have a wide receiver and a tight end coming at them. Probably something like they feel when Calvin Johnson or Vincent Jackson is coming that them. Maybe a little less than they feel when Jimmy Graham or Greg Olsen or Gronkowski is bearing down on them. A little less than that but a little more than when Dez Bryant or Demaryius Thomas. Somewhere in the middle of all of that is how I'd imagine they feel about it.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
