A Little TD Appreciation

Recommended Posts

This man is such an inspiration! He makes me want to go accomplish the impossible, defy the odds, be the best I can be. So glad that he's a Panther. He took a few minutes to say hello and take a picture after the Bobcats playoff game and I was so impressed.

He is an inspiration on and off the field. If half our team has his heart and work ethic, we will win the Super Bowl. He is one of the few professional players that kids can actually look up to as a role model.

I go to training camp almost every year. There are certain guys that never sign autographs, never spend any time with the fans. There are certain guys that will sign a few and move on. TD is one of those guys that signs until his fingers fall off. He would be out there a month removed from knee surgery meeting fans and showing his appreciation.

Jake Delhomme, Ricky Proehl, and Thomas Davis are the nicest guys I've met at training camp.

Never understood the attitude of some fans calling players who suffer legit injuries "pussies".  If anything, continually coming back from injury after injury proves that you're tough as fug.  Just like Dan Morgan.  Dan Morgan may have been fragile in terms of his ability to stay on the field, but I'll never question that guy's toughness.  He was as tough as they come.

Because they think saying something to a pro athlete from behind the safety and anonymity of their keyboards makes them look big and bad, as opposed to the reality of their looking like a colossal pansy ass coward.

Davis is one of the finest men ever to play for the Panthers, regardless of what some nimrod says about him.

Lola and TD sitting in a tree...lol

Just kidding. Because this is at least the second time lately you have said something about being around TD. I have sorta met him twice myself. Once at Sunday brunch at the Marriot, and once at Food Lion.

The brunch was actually one of my favorite moments with the wife. I was trying to explain who he was, and she went off on her "Sports is a waste of time and money" spiels. I was trying to tell her she was wrong, and Mrs. Davis (Can't remember her name) sort of agreed with her. Davis and I trying to convince the wives how important sports were, and them telling us how dumb they were. It was a great 10 minutes of banter. TD and I looking at each other and rolling our eyes. The wives looking at each other and smiling. Great encounter. Got to shake his hand and the wife got a decent hug from her.
