So this Panthers fan asked Smitty a question..

Recommended Posts

Smith will pick a couple fights against our defensive backfield, during the game. Bank on it.

I hope our guys have paid enough attention to him over the years, to get extra physical right back at him. Hope for no injuries to anyone. I love SS89, but I also don't want him treating our guys like bitches, and them not get physical with him in return.

Smith better be careful what he wishes for if he picks a fight. If he pulls the tail (Cason/White), he'll get the horns (Hardy/Davis).

Fug Smitty, dude wont do crap. He was terrible for us last season and single handily cost us any chance we had with the no 1 seed with his unexcusable drops, not to mention he always had a knack of being completely clueless as to where the 1st down was always being stopped shy of it. I know to Panther fans the guy is Jerry Rice, sure the guy was really good but I personally dont consider him a HOFer, sure hes great as for as Panthers players, but as a whole in the NFL over the last decade, there are MANY better than him.

100 bucks says he will be out with injury by the time we play the Ravens. Dude is a hot headed, immature diva. And no im not joking and no im not trolling. This is how I truely feel and have shared this sentiment many times to other people I know. I was never a big Smitty fan

Yesterday almost everyone one on this forum was a Smitty big fan, a statue for Smitty, Smitty you'r the best, blah blah blah..

Smitty left the team not by choice but because he has been cut.

This is clearly a cultural gap with Europe, we are obviously MUCH more respectfull with yesterday idols even if they are playing for an opposing team.

We have a good bunch of hypocrites & untrustworthy peoples on this forum..

Smitty will always be my all-time favorite player. Him leaving doesn't change that. I wish him continued success, just not against us. I hope we whip his butt. Smitty would say the same about us.

Over the past year or so Smitty really has been grating on my nerves.  While I cherish what he did in his prime production wise, recently his mouth has made me happy he's gone especially with his on field production slipping.  If you can back up what you say it's fun.....if you talk big talk and you're only mediocre....meh.

    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
