Wife and I just watched S2 Ep1 last night. Did anyone else think it started off excruciatingly slow? Had me worried for a minute there, and then the second half made up for it. It should be a good season, but I wonder how long the show can continue. She's only supposed to be in jail for a year, and if they keep finding stupid ways to extend her sentence, it's going to start to suck.

 

Saw and article the other day where there were pictures of the real Piper and Alex. Piper Kerman is better looking than Taylor Schilling IMO, but irl Alex looks more like Big Boo than Laura Prepon: http://www.vanityfair.com/vf-hollywood/orange-is-the-new-black-real-alex. The only thing they have in common is the glasses.

 

Looking forward to the German chick now. And man, Lori Petty has apparently had it rough since Point Break!

Well they said going into this season that it will not focus on Piper. I'm up to ep 5 and they are right. They can easily do this show without her.

So I watched season 2 episode 8 "Appropriately Sized Pots"

 

And the ethnic error was so absurd. Not sure how they didn't even try to fix that one.

Just got up to S2 E3 last night......very interesting dynamic this season.

 

I really like how they are doing the flashback thing......really gives you a deeper insight into these people's lives before they were put in jail.

 

I knew a couple of them would end up the way they did, so I wasn't surprised, especially with the Italian girl that's "getting married"

 

I think they are doing a fairly decent job of keeping the story going- the lesbian stuff is only getting worse......blehhhhhh
