Inspiration inbound with catch...  ~6pm weigh-in.  They fought that fish for 5+ hours.

I spent many a day as a kid at the blue marlin tourney they used to have in Wrightsville. Used to hang out at the Bridge Tender restaraunt and watch the weigh-in's.

I caught my first blue down in Dominican last spring...only about 250 or so.  Really cool, but a ton of work.

 

Fought him for about an hour, I can't imagine 5.

Not enough to buy a boat today..  

 

 

I'm not ready for a boat just yet anyhow..  there's too much I want to do or acquire before I sit back and pour money into a boat year in and year out.  although the dream is alive!

don't blame you one bit..  one day I'll get one and be perfectly happy throwing money at it.  it'll be more than worth it with all the fishing the NC coast offers.
