Straight up: Who are you sold on at #9?

To each is own but you said it yourself, Cal put Randle in a place to succeed. He would not be put in the same place to succeed here because we have Jefferson.

We need a guy like Millsap to play with Jefferson, that's how he succeeds (good facilitator, great floor spacer, ability to knock down the three). Oh and come on... Gasol averaged 17 and 10 on a Lakers team that saw him being double-teamed every night. He's not what he once was but he can still ball.

I guess we'll see what happens Thursday.

I think the most solid scenario that I can see happening (way long shot though) is picking up Stevenson as a FA and trading up a few spots for Vonleh.

Walker-Stevenson-MKG-Vonleh-Jefferson

-Henderson 6th man, Zeller still in the picture

I like the idea of Gasol. Yeah he could help develop Zeller, but he is also a perfect fit. His high post game would work well with big Al. Gasol is a very good passing big man, thus we would not be missing the most important part of the game that McRoberts brought to the team. His defense isn't great, but no worse than McRoberts was, and Gasol is a better rebounder

I like this draft and think there can be some impact players at #9.

If we trade for a vet it would have to be a Damm good one

For me to trade it, the pick would have it be part of a package for Love. He would also have to agree to a deal extension as well.

At #9 we will have options to either upgrade a starting position, or add a very good rotation option. Our base line up, before any additions in free agency is:

Kemba / ?

Henderson / ?

MKG / ?

Zeller / ?

Jefferson / Biyombo

At #9 we could upgrade the PF position if Gordon or Randle fall to #9. Though would Randle and Jefferson be a good pairing? Possibly not in terms of defense. Gordon would bring athleticism and defense to the position, and as such, would allow us to let McRoberts walk in free agency and use the money elsewhere. Plus, with development Gordon could improve offensively.

The other option would be to go for a SG like Stauskas, Harris or Young. They could be day on starters, or guys that spend their first season or so on the bench as a sixth man before replacing Henderson. I do like Stauskas and think he could start or play sixth man effectively from day one.

Alternatively we could look to add a back up to Kemba like Elfrid Payton, Tyler Ennis or Zach LaVine. Though if we believe Kemba is our long term PG going forwards, do we draft a backup high or wait until #24 or free agency to do so?

For me, my favored options at #9 are:

1. Gordon

2. Stauskas

3. Harris

4. LaVine

5. Young

6. Randle

    • 5 straight completions in the 4th quarter to get into the red zone and then score a stand up rushing TD and celly in one of the best defenses faces to bring the score within 1 possession against the super bowl champs is "stunned" to you?
    • yes, if you read what I said - that was due to his record breaking 245 yard 4th quarter performance in garbage time when the Seahawks were already celebrating. If Bryce puts up big numbers in the 4th quarter, people like you are quick to call it garbage time stats but seem to get selective when other QB's do it because it doesn't fit your narrative.  also, I'm logical enough to admit that Drake is a great QB and his performance had a lot to do with his protection, play calling, and other aspects. The game does not fall completely on the QB. Just like how the Panthers were still in the game vs Seattle until Horn's penalty changed that. It is a team sport, so many factors, players, refs, coaches are involved and it only takes one thing to change the game. the obsession with Bryce is just nauseating at this point and if you pay attention on here, it's the same 10 users quoting and pieing each other. it's super weird and everywhere else you go, opinions on Bryce are trending upwards. the way the season ended, the vibe at the stadium, the performance, should have everyone excited about this next season. Idk, maybe I just look at life and my entertainment outlets differently than others.
    • Are we sure something hasnt happened to him because that seems pretty shitty to simply abandon this place
