I love the idea of seeing dreams come true but this seems very unrealistic. Realistically the CFL should be acting as a gateway to the NFL.

As for the college comparison, most athletes are getting support from the school (i.e. stipends and meal plans). I know every athlete complains about not getting paid and stuff but they are living better than most college students unless you're a college kid that gets a $100 dollar allowance a week from mom and dad (sadly I know a few people like this).

The CFL and NFL are two very, very different styles of the game. They could never serve as a true gateway to the NFL, except in rare cases.

So they would obviously have a to have a second job.

I only skimmed the article and missed that part.

I just assumed it was like being a full-time employee like the NFL.
