Hornets willing to part with #9 for Afflalo

The Chicago Bulls have been linked most prominently to a deal with Orlando involving shooting guard Arron Afflalo, although sources say that’s not likely happening on draft night, but it’s still very much in play. The dark horse to obtain Afflalo still remains the Charlotte Hornets, who have long coveted him and are willing to give up the ninth pick and a roster player to do it.

they will ask for a fortune, but when the time comes- i think they will bite for Hendo and #9

i dont know if we are offering Hendo though, they had him go to the uniform unveiling and he's a "captain" on the team.

I hope we arent stupid on Hendo's stock/upside

That's Terrible. He's just a tad better than Henderson and we are gonna trade the 9th overall pick to do it? I understand trading the pick if u was trying to get Klay Thompson or somebody that's a star and young.

BUT AFFALO. 30 year old sg who's never broke out and just average his whole career. Who also can opt out next year so he would w a rental. Jesus don't be stupid cho

Too much to give up in a loaded draft for what could be a one year rental on a guy.

#9, #24 & Henderson for Afflalo & #12 I would do.

Or #9, #45 a future 2nd rounder and an expiring for Afflalo & #12.

I think it will be #9 and Neal for Afflalo.  I would want O'Quinn also because he is a good backup c that could push Biz for that spot.  Maybe #9 and Biz.  Just stumbled on to this site a few days ago while on hornetsplanet. Hello everyone

    • Welcome to the internet. It's always been like that. What has changed in the Bryce era is that suddenly encountering different ideas has been widely interpreted as "hostility". There were the Cam stans who did it too, don't get me wrong. But it was a small handful. Before the Discord departure there were quite a few posters who anytime they saw anything less than glowing about Bryce acted like you were trashing their own child.  Not even trying to be snide here but I honestly think Bryce's atypical small stature and meek personality triggers some type of reflexive parental instinct or something. Hell if I know, I just know that it's weird.
    • I knew what I saw the pro day video. I had him off my board because of his size but then it became a realistic possibility that he was going #1.  So I looked at the pro day and a couple of other videos. I was as sure as I could be without actually seeing him on an NFL field.    That spring after he was drafted I knew all the hype could only be countered with actual NFL game results so just remained as silent as I could in the face of the insane hype and self congratulatory ‘we are so smart playoffs here we come’ poo. Pretty quiet.  Then came his debut and it was everything I thought it would be. And worse.  For two weeks. Then Frank put Dalton in. Game over. Debate over.  He is not an NFL QB. His game didn’t look NFL at all. In no way did it look pro.     And guys, those of you who want to throw out that first season, he was never it, he was never going to be it. You can trot out all the excuses known to fankind, it will not change the reality. Just more noise to signal.  He showed us all right away in the first two weeks and Dalton put a bow on it. Even in a washed state and in a loss. The difference was night and day.
    • His “aww shucks” reaction after the first and goal pick last night says a lot.
