NFL Experts Analysts and Writers that are going to hurt their credibility this year

Note: I didn't read what you wrote yet (if I even do), cause this is become a bit tedious and redundant.

Don't get me wrong. I'm sure, I and many other Panther fans, will go after reckless writers before and during the season. No doubt. I have no problem with that.

However, to semi-officially document writers who bad mouth, or make poor predictions on the Panthers would to too many (as been noted numerous times), especially when the Panthers haven't had back to back winning seasons--ever in it's NFL existence. So it's not like it's a total slap in the face for these writers to be wrong about the Panthers. They don't care!

The Panthers aren't exactly the late 80's San Francisco 49ers, or early 90's Jimmy Johnson Cowboys. They haven't won anything, ever (or come close recently).

I hear ya, and yes this is redundant. Our points were both made early and I think we understand each other mostly. Just dont paint me like I have an inferiority complex about the Panthers. Thats not what this is about.

Knowing 32 teams in the NFL isnt difficult and tough titties if writers cant take the criticism because they dont have any problems dishing it out. Lol Dameshek even showed up these forums.

Every sports writer, write out of their ass.

And when it comes to predicting, they are no better than the casual fan.

So I fail to see how any idiotic writer is going to lose something he never had to begin with.

Not all writers are considered idiotic, many have plenty of credibility to lose. Terry Bradshaw cant just come on the air and go "Peyton Manning can lick my salty balls!"

I like how we have Huddlers on their high horse criticizing this thread when they themselves post even more ignorant poo than Peter King and Adam Schein collaborating on a Andrew Luck xx Peyton Manning love story that's edited by Darrin Gant

They are also not being paid for their opinions either. It's perfectly acceptable to want those being paid for their work to have at least halfway researched the subject they are spouting about.

This is a forum you can post ignorant poo if you want it's opinions. They are complaining about sports writers not doing their job and researching the team they claim to be in the know about.

First off, you can mostly certainly lose credibility regardless of getting paid. Maaany posters have done so in such a poor fashion that they wont show their face around anymore.

Secondly, perhaps you should choose a different word than "complaining". My assessment was no different than any writers review of the "top 5 teams that will take a fall this year" articles. You dont think those writers are complaining do you? You are all free to perceive this thread however you like, just understand that not every thread on this forum is a complaint. Some of us like to have fun and learn things from one another through dialogue. I call it "making things better".

I enjoy meeting smart people and picking their brains. . I also enjoy laughing at stupid people who think theyre smarter than they are. I cant change what I am at this point nor will I. I make no excuses for my immature sense of comedy since thats generally how I perceive it. (Also, I will need to inform Rayzor with this comment that this statement wasnt directed at anyone specifically, no need to interject)

  • 3 weeks later...

Greg Rosenthal on NFL.com (formerly of PFT) has been high on the Panthers for the past few years. Last year I believe he was one of the only writers that predicted Carolina would win the South. I want to say he predicted 11-5 or 12-4 record too.

I am genuinely interested to see what he thinks of this years team.

    • I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
    • The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
    • I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
