Rockets declined Chandler Parsons 4th-year option

Again MKG is your defensive catalyst. There is no way he doesn't start.

Yes, MKG is your defensive catalyst, and if the Hornets pick up Hayward or Parsons in free agency, then no, MKG will not start. There's no way they would sign either of those guys to bring them off the bench, nor would they be able to sign them if that was the case.

I can see that you prefer emotion over facts.

Fact: If the Hornets acquire Gordon Hayward (or Chandler Parsons) and list them as a Small Forward while paying them what they would be making, they will be starting at Small Forward next season.

Rather have Rudy Gay. He's a lot more versatile and would open up our offense. Could play the 2 for us.

I think Gay along with Lance and Deng will be whom MJ will go hard at.

How come every team Gay played for gets better when he leaves...and his new team continues to suck.

Keep the Gay away..

That's why I don't see Parsons coming here. Hayward can play SG. So if he was brought here then Hendo is the one who wouldn't start.

Again MKG is the reason you can have a Big Al and Mcbob starting lineup and still have a top 6 defense.

That's where we disagree. Hayward's game is 100% SF. There's nothing about him that says SG. But again, if he does go to Charlotte and the team lists him as a SF (which he is), MKG won't be starting.

He'll play SG here plain and simple. Clifford is not taking his best defender off the court when he is all about defense.

Plus Hayward has better SG skills then Hendo.

Better ball handler, better running thru screens, better facilitator.

I repeat, if the team signs him and lists him as a SMALL FORWARD, then he will be starting over MKG.

The logical extension of that statement is, if they list him as a SG/SF, then he may or may not be starting over MKG depending on what else they do, so I have not disagreed with you on that particular point.

Where we have disagreed at is whether he should play SF or SG, and I have said that I think he would be better at SF.

Not once in my comments have I assumed that Henderson will still be in Charlotte next season.

I repeat they won't. He can play SG better then Hendo and you kerp your best defender on the court. Which is very important to this coaching staff. Whether you like it or not.

Mr. Predictable.

And we can keep going around in circles if you'd like. I DON'T CARE WHETHER THEY DO OR DON'T, but if they do, MKG WILL NOT BE STARTING.

I think Hayward could play 2 guard perfectly fine. And the difference between the 2 and 3 is trivial. Both play on the perimeter, they just have to matchup defensively, where MKG would take the better player.

You can plug any player into any position you'd like, that doesn't mean that's what they are or would be the best at. When Kemba and Sessions played at the same time, Kemba was still a PG even if he was the 2 at that time.

If they put Hayward at SG, he'll still be a SF playing SG. It's the same thing they did in Utah. A team can do whatever they want to, so like I said, if they list him as a SF, then he will be starting over MKG.

    • I feel like anyone within the Panthers fanbase no matter where they land on Bryce should agree on this. He's a good kid. He's intelligent. But ultimately is he going to ever be the guy to command a locker room? Obviously none of us can say. But I just don't get any alpha vibes from him whatsoever. Is that a dealbreaker? Not necessarily. Here's the thing though. We had the talk of his generational years ahead of his age leadership trait clubbed over our heads for weeks nonstop before the draft. But after seeing someone like Sam Darnold navigate life as a starting QB I think anyone here should be able to acknowledge homerism there are some similarities to Darnold in terms of personality. That is not what we were sold. All of this takes me back to before the draft. I just can't shake the sense that Stroud just rubbed Tepper or someone the wrong way. Was he too confident? Not subservient enough? Did they feel Bryce was more marketable and media savvy? My gut says these things weighed more into the pick than they should have. If not. Stroud more than likely would have been the selection. What's done is done though. I'm just like you though. I want to see some fire from Bryce at some point this season. But I'm expecting to be disappointed considering his first order of business following one of the worst rookie seasons ever was to detach completely and do nothing. As always. Hoping for the best. I feel like I have to put a disclaimer at the end of this post for the Bryce superfans. I want to see him do well. I don't want this to end in the worst case scenario. There now we can be friends!
    • I felt the Cam vibes on the huddle with Bryce, in fact its almost there. Threads that have no mention of young, turn in them.  Only deal is Cam had tons more supporters/nut huggers.  I honestly hated talking Cam with 90% of the huddle, in many eyes he was perfectly accurate with all his throws and if he had a legit great game the true haters were missing in action.   Cam board is now a Bryce board...
