Beer Gut

Recommended Posts

Besides the beer and perhaps an energy drink once a week I live a semi-vegan lifestyle. Once a week I'll have fish, maybe a steak on holidays. I don't even use a gym I just do light workouts at home. I just got some creatine from the store and I'm going to kick my workout into high gear.

Hmm...I see.

How old are you now? I'm 26, and I realize I am not old, but I cannot slack off at the gym as much as I could when I was 21 or 22. It takes some upkeep now! I've had to raise the tempo for sure.

Are you facing any particular stresses at the moment? It raises cortisol levels like crazy.

I you have been doing a strict diet and them jumped into eating big, your body may be in "fat storing" mode too, and all your gains go straight to your gut after being deprived for so long.

I have many weight loss stories, I have been anywhere from 150 to 200 and back several times over for the last five years.

Don't expect to see the abs while on creatine. the stuff is great for working out, but you will retain some water around the midsection.

I'm 20, stress is a pretty big part of my life right now. I'm just going to workout at home as much as I can. Probably going to buy a gym membership.

This exactly.

Even when I took the pill form with no added sugar, I put on ten pounds in one week.

There is frequency, intensity, time and type.

If you are working out daily, that is great. If it is all you do and overtrain, you can skyrocket cortisol.

Seeing as though you are working out at home, I doubt you have much heavy weight to lift.

I would raise the cardio intensity for sure. Once again, no slow jogs or even well pace runs on treadmills, do sprints, jump rope, etc.

How are you stressed?

No job, so school, no license, finding pink firearms....

But it also lowers the amount of free testosterone, which lowers muscle mass and increases fat.

Gotta find a balance.

Source? I'm pretty sure that is bullshit and the effects are very minimal.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
