Sporting News Report: Stephenson battle down to Hornets, Pacers, and Mavs

We need to act quick. The Rockets are rumored to be taking up every hour of the 72 hours they are alotted to match the Parsons offer sheet (screwing with the Mavs).

Go ahead and give him a 4X10 and let's call it an offseason.

10 isn't going to get him out of Indy, it's going to take a 4-48 type deal at best. Most likely will need to be in the 13.5-14 a year range to land him.

$13.5 is nearly a max... that ain't gonna happen.

The offer is going to have to blow Indy's out the water, he wants to stay in Indy. He would just like to be making more. He wants a deal around 12m a season to stay in Indy, will take more then that to get him to leave and Indy have no second thoughts on giving similar deal.

it will and it should

Sorry to tell you, but it won't.

If he was going to get a max, he would have gotten one by now. I'm one of Stephenson's biggest fans and was on his bandwagon while everyone was riding high on the Hayward train. However, there is no way he is getting $13.5 mil.

I'm willing to bet that he doesn't see more than $11.5 mil per year and if he sees it, I doubt it's from us.

He says he wants to stay in Indy, but wait until someone offers him a 4X$11. It's much easier to say what you want to do when you only have one contract offer.

Source: Stephenson a serious candidate for Mavs

">

This came out shortly before the SN report. They need a SF and not a SG. I think if Parsons falls through, they will go hard after Ariza and Deng first.

Maybe not, but he would have to play out of position because Mantae Ellis is the SG

It will help a lot if Rockets sign Ariza and therefore let Parsons go to Mavs.

That is best case scenario for us right now I think

I don't think that's very smart of them, but I definitely hope they do it. If that happens I don't see another team aside from us having a legitimate shot at Lance (aside from Indy of course).
