in case we don't get Lance

he chart illustrates why Stephenson is holding out for more money as well as why Washington will have a difficult time holding on to Ariza. There are still so many teams with massive amounts of cap space. The question facing NBA front offices is whether the teams shouldcontinue to spend big this summer or wait until 2015.

Even with that in mind, the 2015 crop of free agents looks a lot more fertile than this year’s leftovers. The marquee free agents — Love, LaMarcus Aldridge, Dragic, Rondo, Wesley Mathews, Paul Milsap and Marc Gasol — will still be in their primes, not to mention the deep group of restricted free agents.

(For the sake of clarity, restricted free agents — a group dominated by late-round picks from the 2011 NBA Draft — are not included in the chart above, but some of the better options can be found here.)

If we use all our space this year it doesn't matter who is free agent next year because we'll have no money.

Who out of that group would you want to spend it on? Love, I think will be locked up at some point, and probably wouldn't want to even come here

Aldridge deal in Portland is going to get done. And no one else on there gets me excited.

If MKG doesn't progress this year I'd love to add Jeff Green. He's an upper echelon small forward and he can also play power forward.

It all depends on who you want (position wise). You can either add Stephenson and be cap strapped for two years or you can wait out one year and sign someone like Jeff Green, Paul Millsap, Goran Dragic, etc.. next year and be cap strapped for only one year.

This year is going to be crucial for the development of Biyombo. If he doesn't develop, he needs to be let go so we can have a little room to address some issues. Kemba also needs to make the jump to legitimate top ten point guard. With his contract ending this year, if he doesn't make the jump we may need to move on.

As far as MKG, I'm willing to let him play out his deal before making a call on him.

Why would you wanna give 8.5 mil to Kemba when Dragic and Rondo are FA?

Well I don't want Rondo. I don't care how good you are, if you can't stay healthy you are useless.

As for Dragic,

I think Dragic will get close to a max, so we'd have to somehow find a way to get rid of Henderson's contract to be able to even afford him and by then we probably couldn't field a complete team.

If we want Dragic, we can't go after Lance this year.

    • To be fair, I kind of like Bo but he was BAD this past weekend.
    • What I noticed was Tmac running free on deep routes a lot. Can we just get PJ or Hooker to throw go routes on every play for the rest of the season? It would be more exiting than this current mess.
    • We're all aware of the frustrating Week 1 for Carolina, but there's reasons to see Arizona as a possible get-right game. While this will be Zona's home opener (requiring the team to travel out west), they were barely able to hold on to a lead against the hapless Saints who got a chance to tie the game up with 2min left that ended at the ARI 18. Kyler Murray was 21/29 with 2 passing TDs but for only 163yds (5.6yd AVG) and a QBR of 50.9 (RTG 108.8). He was also sacked five times for 33yds. Meanwhile, Spencer Rattler went 27/46 and was sacked just once for 6yds. Kyler also carried the ball seven times for 38yds. James Conner struggled to get going (12 carries, 39yds) but Trey Benson had a good day thanks to a 52yd scamper (8 carries, 69yds). Arizona has weapons in MHJ and McBride, but the CBs have been playing well enough for McBride to be the true focus of the defense. MHJ had a good game though against the Saints, so hopefully Jaycee + Mike Jackson can disrupt that connection. The Cardinals also aren't a disciplined team... with an opportunity to put the Saints away they gave up a TFL and a holding penalty before having the field goal attempt blocked. Their OL suuuuucks at run blocking and got better pass blocking from their TEs in week 1 than they did from any OL except for Paris Johnson Jr. Isaiah Adams and Hjalte Froholdt especially had issues as did Jonah Williams. If the Panthers' revamped DL can't get pressure against them it might be worth giving the alarm a pull.
