If You Are Cho: Does Hendo Stay?

Not if YOU were the GM, but if you were Cho... Although, how many of us could actually claim to know thd mind of the mad genius that is Rich Cho? None. That being said, how does Hendo fit here now? As others have said, he does indeed have value coming off the bench, but would he be willing to accept that role? I don't think he would... And it's pretty much that scenario is a guarantee because money dictates everything else in the NBA and Lance is the highest paid guard on the roster now. So what happens from here?

I know everyone wants to ditch him but I like the idea of having him come off the bench.  Depth is never a bad thing and he's still a decent player.   But yeah you're right, I don't know if he'll accept it, but he may have no choice.  He seems like a good guy so maybe he'll just take it with stride and just play hard to find a new home.

I think you keep him.

PJ is a complete unknown right now as a backup

Boozer > Henderson

You are the weakest link, goodbye.

We don't have boozer yet. If we do get boozer I assume we can still keep Hendo. Everyone thinks PJ can replace Hendo already but we don't even know what to expect from him in the NBA yet. We do have Neal as well. I know Hendo could play the SF spot, I don't know if Lance can play SF but I assume he can. I say keep Hendo at least until midseason to see how our team works out and you never know when injuries or a suspension could happen.

Hendo is worthless off the bench.

Bench players need to be able to come in a put up points fast.

That is not Hendo's game.

I could replace Henderson offensively. 90% of his offense is bricking fade away jump shots or stuffing himself at the rim. I can do that. His defense isn't needed with Stephenson & MKG.

Trade him & you can make a bid for Boozer that nobody else will match. He'd flourish here as the 3/4 option behind Jefferson, Stephenson, & Kemba.

Don't underestimate the ability to prevent the other team's bench from scoring as well.  Henderson may be better when he has less pressure on his back and can come in and contribute.

We will need defense on the bench as well. If we need offense then we can put Neal out. Hendo will be going up against other teams back ups which means less pressure on him.

    • I’m not losing us games.  You want to hitch your wagon to the “cut your nose off to spite your face” express?  Have at it.  I want our team to win.  Again, fvck Bryce.
    • Ngl, I said it before but we as a team have a freakishly horrible history when it comes to head injuries…  like way worse than any other team I’m aware of.  Luke technically retired under his own terms, but i feel the concussions fast-tracked that and were a huge reason he did.  I’ll never forget the night he got one against the Eagles in prime time, iirc, and when he came back to and sat up, he was crying uncontrollably.  Scary poo.  I remember hearing elsewhere later that he was actually crying at the time because when he sat up he was blind and couldn’t see anything.  That shook me up seeing a guy like Luke in that condition on the field. Aside from that, Michael Oher suffered a concussion he never recovered from that ended his career.  Hayden Hurst the same.  And then Josey Jewell.  I’m not aware of that many players with one organization whose careers came to an end because of concussions, especially in that time frame.
