I think it's moreso a man crush on the underdog/diamond-in-the-rough players. James Anderson got similar treatment in his first year or two. It's always fun to root for a bubble guy and if you're right you look like a genius!

I'd guess he's around 6-8% body fat. 

 

I admit he definitely looks around 6% but I have to be skeptical because it is awfully hard to compete in any professional sports below 10.  Either way, I'm jealous.
