Preseason game with the Giants can't get here fast enough

No more blogs, tweets, texts and smoke signals. Live bullets for the 1st team a drive or two and then we can see what the depth or lack thereof looks like as well as seeing the rooks get some PT.

Heaven forbid the dreaded tweet-blog should it ever rear its ugly head. :eek6:

The Lions confirmed last year that preseason is worthless in about every way.

The record is worthless, but seeing the 1st team play is always valuable, you can usually get a good idea. Just because the Lions 3rd string was able to string some wins together doesn't make the pre-season worthless.

No, it's not valuable. It can't be valuable when coordinators are as vanilla as possible and effort is lacking from players.

Can't wait to watch Chris Snee swallow Beason whole...

After watching Fan Fest we have to get more help in the middle. And if Nick Hayden is the answer, I don't think we understood the question.

I shall be happy to watch Panther football as always.

this is true...it makes me want to see lonnie harvey in there..he has kemo like size..plus i will watching the giants backup DT they prob will cut a guy we could use here.

One more week! ARRRRGGHH.

With our lack of depth in many positions, and our depth in other, this preseason should be pretty interesting. I'm definitely looking forward to watching the DT situation, all of our rookies, and Stewart pounding on some backup D.

In an interview Nick Hayden said he spent the offseason losing weight.

MAJOR SMH............

    • Question to the posters on this thread because you are knowledgeable--I love watching and pull for the Canes, but I never played so I don't have the understanding I had when I played football then watched it.  Having said that, Do you think we are weak at Center?  I see the team to be pretty strong on the wings, promising defense, and weak at Goalie.  It would be ideal if the Canes had 1 more position to upgrade, not 2.  I don't think you can count on Anderson to play a full season and he is 35.  However, are we solid at Center in your view?
    • Couldn't agree more, Kooch is erratic and Freddy is fragile, maybe save the remaining cap space for a goalie stud at the deadline
    • There is one play that sold me-- it was around 2:38, I think.  It was 4th and 1 and the QB telegraphed and threw the ball out wide to TMac.  He had no blocking (the TE was very late) and four defenders collapsed on TMac behind the LOS. They seemed to know it was coming.  He got hit behind the LOS and battled through several hits to get three yards.  THAT play showed me his fire.
